PROFILE
Enthusiastic, hardworking, reliable, experienced builder who has qualified with a
Degree in Building Science and is registered with the Teachers Council, seeking a
position in the building environment sector.
Excellent communication, organisation, time management and interpersonal skills.
RELEVANCEOF LIFE/EDUCATIONEXPERIENCE:
Spent most of my life working in the Construction Industry. My first job was as a
general labourer in the Construction Industry in England and I soon realised that I had
a love for construction work. I returned to Ireland and worked for a number of years
in my brother’s building firm. I have completed numerous projects including: general
house building, a nursing home, a new cemetery, refurbished an existing cemetery
and an old parish hall.
Travelled to America to complete construction work on an old three-storey house for
a friend and gained invaluable experience in the Building Codes/Regulations in
America.
Developed a natural reed bed system for waste water at my home and presently
constructing a water wheel to provide electricity , as I have a great interest in heritage
and the environment.
Have planted 11 acres of forestry and developed a lake on my land and do some
organic farming.
Ambition is to pass on my life experience to young people through my own
experience and my experience in college. In pursuit of this goal, I have attained a
Degree in Building Construction and completed a Train the Trainer (FETAC) Level 6
qualification and I am registered as a Teacher with the Teaching Council.
