A 21-year-old nurse has alleged that she was
raped by a youth who had confined her at his
friend's house in south Delhi's Vasant Kunj area
over the past two months.Police said that a case
has been registered based on the complaint by
the woman.
In her complaint, the woman said that she had met
the 23 year-old youth in Bhopal where she was
working at a private hospital. The youth had
come for treatment at the hospital a few times.
He had befriended her then.

After a few days, the youth brought her to the city
promising to get her a better job and confined
her at a house in Vasant Kunj. She said the man
raped her several times and threatened her with
dire conse quences if she tried to escape.
She claimed that the youth who was pursuing his
MBA from a private institute in Delhi had even
filmed her while raping her and threatened to
post the video online if she tried to flee.

She also claimed that the youth used to beat her up
frequently if she tried to leave the house. On Tuesday ,
the youth had left the house to attend a religious
ceremony at his hometown when the woman managed
to escape and contact one of her relatives. She reached
the Vasant Kunj (South) police station on Tuesday night
and narrated the incident to police.
She was immediately taken for a medical examination
which confirmed rape. A case of kidnapping, rape and
illegal confinement was registered at the police station
on the basis of her statement. A team has been formed
to arrest the man who has been absconding since.
