1. My favourite celebration/holiday is New
Year. We decorate the flat, dress up, exchange
gifts. Mum/Mother cooks something

food for dinner for the whole family. We like
chicken with rice and vegetables. Dad buys a
pineapple and oranges, and granny
makes/bakes
a special cake. December and January are cold
months in our country. We don’t have street
parades but we set off fireworks.
