Why do we need a Phone
Book?
   People are the companies single biggest asset
   We are a highly distributed global company
   Easy access to each other is essential
   The company reporting structure is not secret
   Changes need to be reflected quickly

   IT systems can provide the tools to create a single virtual
    building, thereby enabling efficient, effective and
    personalised collaborative working across the whole
    organisation

   ‘None of us are as good as all of us’
Who and what will be included?
   All employees (excluding some shop floor operatives)

   For each person the following information will be included
       Name (First name, surname)
       Location (Site)
       Department (e.g Finance, Production etc)
       Job Title (defined by Site Manager)
       Manager (selected from phone book and defined by Site Manager)
       Office phone number
       Mobile phone number (optional)
       Photo (optional)
       Email address (Can also be personal for people not in GW)
How much will it cost?
   Utilising some free software from Novell called eGuide this
    will be a zero capital and zero maintenance cost application

   Use existing Endeka server

   Users to maintain own information in future, reducing
    centralised admin time and improving accuracy and
    timeliness
