My second key strength is showing gratitude to others. If someone does something for me or helps me develop a new skill. I show gratitude to them

What Is Honor To Me
To me honor is the privilege of having the opportunity to serve in the United States Navy and to be a part of one of the strongest military forces in the
world. It is being a well–trained and disciplined sailor. One who is capable and confident in swiftly carrying out orders. It is taking responsibility
for what must be done whatever the cost. Following orders and commitment to excellence instills in me a feeling of pride and honor. Courage is the
ability to stay true to my values and beliefs and to act correspondingly. It is the ability to say and do the right thing without reservation in the face of

My time in the military has taught a thing or two about Honor, Courage, and Commitment. I believe it ties into the results of my VIA character

Things that I really had no knowledge about, but like a robot I did as I was told. So it would be fitting that "Judgement" would be a high character
point for me. I really had to think things through before I acted upon them, or it would sometimes come back to bight me in the long run. When I
got to my first command I did not learn what "leadership" was till I actually strived to become one. For over a year and a half I was always just a
follower, doing what I was told and never really branching off or blazing my own path. I achieved many promotions since then, now I don't know
who said it first but my higher ups always preached saying "leaders lead from the front not from the back" and I agree. I learned how interact with

It is unjust for us (as Marines) to do any such acts. A lot of these if not all, fall under the Uniform code of Military Justice (UCMJ) such as Articles 92,
98, 104, 107, 121–128, 131,134, and 137. I cannot name them all but in my opinion articles 78–140 in a nutshell. If you are unsure if something you

I have an example of how these core values are truly with–in my believes, on February 23, 2008 while in the Newport News shipyard, I was on the
berthing barge around 0800 in the morning when I heard a splash in the water coming from the ship next to us. Unfortunately, the splash was a
