Becoming A Mom Research Paper
A mother has the toughest job in the world. She has to love her children and discipline them all in the same breath. I became a mother at the age of
seventeen. It was by far the hardest thing I've ever dealt with, but in some way it made me a better person. Becoming a mother helped me grow up by
teaching me responsibility, unconditional love, and by showing me to be thankful for my own mother. First, As Danielle's mother, it was my
responsibility to physically, emotionally, and financially take care of her. Giving her baths every night and making sure her teeth were brushed
was one way I physically took care of Danielle. Waking up all hours of the night to feed Danielle when she was a baby was also a way I physically took
care of her. I had to emotionally support my daughter by rocking her when she was upset and crying. I also had to be there to pick her up when she
fell down, or to comfort her when someone was being mean. Being a single mom, I had to work full–time while trying to attend school to financially
support Danielle. Buying diapers and keeping her in clothes was what the majority of my money was spent on. Who knew little babies grew so fast!
The little money I had left over always went towards essentials like: rent, daycare, and household items....show more content...
Danielle showed me that it was possible to love someone more than I loved myself. Seeing Danielle grow has brought more joy to my life than I
could have ever imagined. She makes me so proud to be her mom. There is nothing in this world more important than my little girl. I would gladly
put my life on the line for her at any second. Even when I'm at my worst, Danielle is always my biggest fan. She seems to know just the right moment
to wrap her arms around my neck. Even when I look horrible, she still tells me how beautiful she thinks I

She didn't have to choose me, she didn't have to provide for me, she didn't have to love me and she most definitely didn't have to take me in, but
she did. I'm so unbelievably proud to call my mom my hero. When I was just a baby, I was living with my Biological mom and it was an abusive
home. She didn't provide for me, nurture me, or any of the things you should do for a baby. Sadly, she was too drunk all the time to even feed me.
When I was 10 months Social Services took me to a foster home and when I was one, I was adopted by the most amazing and most beautiful
person whom to this day, I call my mom. She adopted me, and took me in like I was her own child. Growing up she showed me that she is going to
love me, take care of me, and most importantly, treat me like I'm wanted. She stayed awake numbers of nights just holding me while I lied awake
crying my eyes out from my scary past and they turned into night mares. To this day, I still have those dreams. In my opinion, it would be quite
annoying to have a baby screaming and crying all the time. But she didn't mind because she understood I was hurting. There was a time when all
my siblings and I were together, and had dinner together. All the little kids were playing outside and we could see them through the window. My
mom didn't want them in there for this talk. My mom told us she has Skin and Kidney Cancer. She told us she didn't know how bad it was but that
we will keep on going forward with doctors' appointments. Almost every day that my mom was going through that, she has stayed positive even
when she is hurting to her max. I might be bragging a little bit, but I believe I have the strongest mom out there. My mom always made sure my
siblings and I had smiles on our faces even when we didn't want to smile. Now a days, I'm her favorite trouble child! I got sent away for half a year
to a residential treatment facility. I truly believed my mom was giving me up when she told me I'm going to treatment for 6 months. I've never had
so much hate in my heart before for someone. Even after all of the times I was so unbelievably rude, and nasty, and hateful towards her, she took it
all, and still showed me love. There was never a day when I was gone that she

Knock, knock... the sound on the door caught our attention. It was around 11 at night and all one could hear was chirping of crickets and the purr
of my cat, Maya. I was sitting there in my mom's lap crying as loudly as possible. My mom, exhausted from all the daily chores was trying to get
me to sleep. There was hair all over the place and I was crying and shouting at my mom. That's when we heard the knock. If it had been during the
day, we would not be that anxious, but it was almost midnight. My mom and I gazed at each other in awe; there was a moment of silence. Then we
heard a second knock. It was louder than before. I looked at my mom, I could see she fear in her eyes too. My mom who was also scared and curious

I had always been very fond and proud of my hair. No matter what others tell me, I would always go infront of my mirror andlook at my hair, and
believe me, I had never been unsatisfied by it. I used to wonder what was wrong with these people. I had my hair just like my mother's; half curly and
half straight. According to my mom, she got her curly hair from her father and the straight ones from her mom. When I looked in the mirror all I
could see was the front part , which was soft and silky. What I could not see and others could see was the curly and rough hair on the hind part that
standed perpendicular to my head. Whenever my parents tried to cut my hair I would run and hide somewhere until they gave up the idea. I still
remember the time when they tried to cut my hair and I ran away and hid in the storage building for the whole day. I can understand my parents
too. I was an energetic little girl. I would make a lot of mess around the house and get my clothes and hair dirty. Now when I live by myself I
understand the amount of load my parents had. Things does change a lot when we grow older but as a stubborn little girl back then my only ultimate
goal was to convince my parents to let me have a long hair. In the day of the incident my father had tried to chop my hair with his big old scissors. He
had even lectured me about how disgusting it would be

Essay about My Mom is the Perfect Role Model
"Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them."
–––― James Baldwin
To write about my role models, I could have picked teachers, I could have picked people extremely influential in their field, and I could have picked
models and other aesthetically pleasing individuals. But instead, I found the perfect combination of all three: my mother. There isn't one person on this
earth more educational, more competent, and more aesthetically pleasing than my mother. And there isn't one person on this earth that can re–direct
my role model focus from her.

When I told her I wanted to go into music, flute performance especially, she knew that it would be challenging and that I'd be looking for jobs left
and right. But she also knew that I was a good player and key figure in the musical world both in my school, state and country, having performed in
Europe. Flute is one of the most difficult instruments to be proficient in and master. However, she held me high and let me do what I knew I loved
instead of encouraging me to go into a more "stable" field.
Some may say it's easy to choose your mother for a role model, that it's a no–brainer. Not so. Not only does my mother have a professional attitude
worth emulating, she has the attitude of a child, too. None of my other friends' mom's are willing to stick their tongue at you while telling you "I told
you so!", in jest of course.
I've seen my mother play first string violin at a packed concert house and I've seen her dance and be–bop around the house, mocking my sister and me.
I think she's so cool for driving a convertible at age 43, still looking young and not losing that youthful soul. She's got better fashion sense than I do.
We go shopping and have a blast every time. I think she's the greatest for being able to come home from a long day of practicing Psychotherapy,
dealing with people crazier than I, and just chill out in the living room with me, a glass of wine and Jerry Springer. Either that or Real World.

My Mother, My Friend
My Mother, My Friend It is not easy, moving back home with your parents as an adult. Especially when you are the parent of grown children
yourself. Due to circumstances beyond my control, that is what I had to do. Although I had been out of my parents home for over thirty years and
had been married (and divorced) moving back home kind of felt like I had never left. I believe that is because my parents were treating me as though
I was the unruly teenager I once was. That and the fact I was in MY bedroom. I choose to do my relationship analysis paper on my relationship with my
mother Juanita. My mom has Alzheimer's, and communication can be frustrating at times. The three communication concepts I will focus on are, 1.
Becoming a better listener, 2, Expressing myself to her in a way she can better understand and 3. Paying better attention to her nonverbal cues. I
love my mother dearly, and want to be able to communicate with her the best we can. My mother is one of the most important people in my life. In
fact, she is probably THE most important person in my life. She is beautiful, she is kind, she is thoughtful and she is honest. She is a good wife,
mother, grandmother and great grandmother. There is not a mean bone in her body. I have worked for the last fifteen years doing in Home Health
Care for Alzheimer's patients and their families, so when my mom got diagnosed I was devastated. I was devastated because I know how this game

My Mother: The Best Mother
My mother has many wonderful traits, but there's a few that stand out. First of all, her wisdom is outstanding. She provides great advice no matter the
situation. Also, I'd say she has a positive mentality. She always has this optimistic point of view for everything. Ultimately, the trait that stands out in
her the most is compassion. It's incredible the way she shows compassion towards everyone. Her way of demonstrating compassion is very unique. She
always puts herself in everyone else's shoes, without naming their flaws. Overall, she the best mother I could have asked for.

He gave us the hospitals name and we instantly looked it up in the GPS and my mother drove us there. We quickly ran up to the floor where my
brother was being treated. As soon as we saw my father sitting in the waiting room my mother ran up him to ask him what did the doctors say
about my brother. He said that due to his grave condition he had to be placed in intensive care. That as soon as my brother's condition stabilized,
we would be able to see him. My mother was trying to be strong, I could see it in her eyes and in the way she talked. Since time was passing by and
we were already tired, my father took us to a hotel and left us there. He then went back to the hospital with my mother. Days went by and little
improvement was shown, things were beginning to look good. Nurses informed us that we were able to see my brother. But only two people can
be in the room at once. So both of my parents went in first. Then after a while, my brothers and I went in. He was in a bed asleep, he looked tired
and exhausted. We decided to leave and let him rest. Finally, a doctor came out the door and through the hallway looking for my parents. My mother
quickly stood up and asked him how was my brother doing. The doctor said that my brother had the flu and two other viruses that he had encountered
most probably in the previous hospital. My mother's face was sadness in every sense

No matter how hard life gets for me and how chaotic things can become there has always been one person that I can turn to, my mom. She's been a

does the guidance she has given me over the years. She's not afraid to give me a reality check and to tell me the things I don't want to hear even though I

idealistic and she enjoys the simpler things that life has to offer. She loves nature and would love nothing more than to be living in a cabin in the

Narrative Essay : My Mom
For this narrative, I interviewed my mom, Amanda Lopez. At first, she seems mean. That's very blunt but it's true. My mom is a very guarded and
self–reserved person. She does have manners and she is nice but, she won't open up immediately to a new person. She is also very hard working and
independent. She wasn't born with these qualities, she went through a lot of different struggles, but that's how she ended up where she is today.
My mom didn't have a very good high school experience. Her mom always moved, which caused her to move. Which caused her to have few friends.
She never participated in sports or arts. She mostly focused on her home life and school. Her mom never really supported her. When asked about the
future, she state "I never thought about the future, it was more of a day by day, moment by moment kind of thing. How am I going to pay for this and
when will I get my homework done?" My mom had to buy her own clothes, pay the rent at her mom's house, and juggle school work. So, as you can
imagine, she had a lot on her plate. Although, she did have support from her aunt and uncle. But, she still had to do a lot of things on her own. "Aunt
Terri and I would go to her parent's house and hang out on the farm. We would do every day normal stuff like baking and knitting." Essentially, Aunt
Terri was the mom she never had, she taught her basic skills and gave her tips on different things. "They were the ones that came to my volleyball

with us, was it that hard for her to just stay home? My granny did her very best taking care of us and I loved her so much for that. There was still
always this though in my head everyday that i always thought of and that was "would mommy ever take off work and spend more time with us".

My mother Christy Rehn has many great qualities that make up who she is today. First, to give a physical description; she is a female and is 44

great quality is that my mom is very funny. She enjoys a good laugh when she's feeling happy or not feeling well at all. She enjoys spending time with

kids. She is determined to make what we want to become a reality. She thinks that nothing is impossible, you just have to work for your goals and
never back down from what you are doing. Her sense of humor is something that I love she is hilarious and tells the best stories. I know that
having boundaries is something us kids don't like but it's a good thing on the parent side. While my mom loves me, she will be upset with me if I
make a serious mistake and there will be consequences. This shows that she has good parenting and is loyal to what she says and does. My mom
is a wonderful listener, if I tell her that I have a big test coming up or that I got into trouble at school she will remind me each day to study for the
test coming up. She will then sit down with me to discuss what had happened that day at school. It's like my mom has a daily agenda in her mind.

My Mother Is My Greatest Influence in My Life
I've learned through the eyes of my mother that life isn't easy. My mother has come a long way after losing her mother at a very young age and

Growing up in a poor family, my mother must work very hard to earn her living since an early age. Due to shortage of material condition, she herself
has trained an extremely strong will and ability to sedately deal with each difficulty and stand up to move on from her failures. I vividly
remember the calamity poured down on my family when my mother' business went bankrupt. We had to sell our house and leave for another town
to begin from "zero". This critical time made every member in my family really upset. But it was my mother, the persistent and brave women,
strongly stood up and started over again after this great adversity. Each of her failures, her grief, and the way she overcame difficulties to move on
has made an indelible impression in my mind, leaving me with precious lessons about the values of strong wills and indefatigable endeavors to
firmly confront with setbacks and bravely conquer them. There was time when I felt that there was no more hope in life, that I felt very weary and
was about to give up everything. After the constant moving from one place to another and my grades slipping down the drain I was unable to deal
with any small problems and felt embarrassed to meet my relatives and friends. However, that was also the time that I acquired from my mother how
to learn from her mistakes and developed my own set of tools to take more lessons from them to realize the proper meanings of determination.

What can one say about their mother? One may talk about her positive and negative characteristics. There are so many great traits I love and admire
about my mom, that it would be difficult and unfair to write about just one. Being strong, generous and optimistic are all some great personality traits,
which my mother possesses.

prayer time to me and my brother's attention. My mom instilled As a child, my mother displayed the seriousness of spirituality. In which she expressed
her faith in us at an early age, that prayer time was not the time to make jokes nor to complain about having to partake in it.
One lesson she taught us the most, was how seriousness about our spiritual beliefs could provide us with a substantial, stable and structural lifestyle.
My mother's heart is at its purest when giving. I witnessed my mother chip in and pay for people's rent, car notes, and buying them groceries. Although
my mother's intentions were good, occasionally, her generosity has been taken advantage of. One time a close friend of the family, came to my mother
in desperate need. He asked her to loan him a large amount of money, with the agreement that he would pay back in either monthly or weekly
installments. My mom never did see the money that was due to her. Despite the incident she still gives and encourages others to give, whether is it a

Being A Mother : My Life Of My Mother
My mother is the most diligent worker I know and I highly respect her for that. My mom, sister, and I moved across the globe to find better
opportunities for jobs and Education. She worked two jobs as a single mother, and was still able to take care of and support my sister and me in
anything we aspired to do. Being a mother itself is difficult enough because it is an everyday job with no brakes or vacation. She is the person who
inspires me and the person who motivates me to do my best at everything I do. To her, my sister and I's happiness was worth more to her than her
own and for that I truly believe she is the best person in the world. Even when things get hard for her, she does not take time out for herself. During the
death of my grandfather, she had no time to grieve over him because she told us that she has work to keep my sister and I fed and happy. That was
when I realized that if she is going through all the gruelling effort just to keep me and my sister happy, then my goal in life would just to give back to
her by making her proud of me. With her as my motivation I joined things that would make her proud. Freshmen year, I auditioned for thehigh school

My Reflection On My Mother Essay
A mother is someone who can take the place of all others but no one can take the place of her. There are many different definitions you could use to
describe your mother. My mother, Pam Krull, fits every one of those. Today I decided to pick the three that I thought was most important to me. I
admire and aspire to be like my mother because of how supportive, how selfless, and how loving she is. My mom has gone through a lot to get where
she is today. I will begin by telling you a little bit about my mom's background. My mom grew up outside of George with her parents, Harris and Bev
Kaster, and her three siblings, Erik, Brad, and Kristy. She attended George High School when they were still Blue Jays. My mom was involved in
a lot of different activities. She was in the play, large group and individual speech, a cheerleader, played the drums in band, was in student council,
secretary of her class, REC club, band, and jazz band. In her free time she hung out with friends and her sister. She had a few jobs growing up also.
She babysat a lot, worked at the library, and the dentist office. My mother also helped teach bible school, catechism, and attended youth group at Hope
Reformed Church. My mother met my dad, Doug Krull when she was a junior in high school. They dated for a while and ended getting married. They
then had three beautiful daughters, Allyssa, Megan, and Rebecca. My mom went to Northwestern College in Orange City, Iowa, to get her education

My Mother And Mother
My mother was my primary caregiver throughout all of my childhood. While my father was in the picture for a majority of my childhood, he was
also a severe alcoholic which greatly impacted my upbringing. My rules, obligations, and expectations were not always set in stone and did often
depend on the time, situation, and/or mood of my parents. I think it is normal for parents to differ slightly in their parenting styles occasionally. As a
young kid I remember my sister and I being very aware that the mood my mother was in greatly contributed to the outcome of a question or event. I
think most, if not all of us can relate to this. Overall however, I would say that my mother had an authoritative parenting style. My mother made is very
clear that she was the parent and in charge, however she was welcoming and understanding enough that I felt comfortable coming to her with
questions or problems. My mom was also very encouraging and supportive. She always pushed me to do my best but never made me feel bad if I
did not reach my goals. I was lucky to have such a great relationship with my mom, not everyone does. As a young teenager I had many friends who
would come to me with questions and concerns because they knew my mom was so open–minded and understanding. My mom was always my parent
first and my friend second. I knew what was expected of me and I was disciplined for bad behavior, however I always knew I could go to her with
anything I needed.

When I was 10 years old, I realized my so–called mother might not be related to me. I had started to grow to around 5' tall, but I still felt small
among my classmates, most of whom were 5' 3" at the time. There was one person who would make me feel tall, and that person was my mother.
Although my so–called mother was only 4'11, the difference was noticeable, well, to me at least. As soon as I saw the height difference, I immediately
capitalized on it; it was one of the best things to happen to me. "Hey mom!" I said, coming from the backyard. "Yes, sweetie?" my mom said from her
bedroom, "Do you need something?" I walked into her room and stood next to her to show I was taller, "Looks like I'm the adult now!" I said, my
smile as big as it's ever been before. "Are you now?" my mother said, chuckling. "Then I guess you can pay the bills, and do all my chores and go to my
work while I go to school." My smile quickly faded; I did not understand that she was joking. I was angry, and stomped to my room. Lying in bed, I
started to think, How can she make me do all that? She's a monster, I can't be her son. Then, as if a lightbulb went off in my head, I realized that she
was not really my mother. If more proof is needed, I have more examples. My so–called mother had a very short temper for a very long time, and even
now she gets angry somewhat quickly. I on the other hand, was very calm, and still am to this day. On December 22nd, when I was 12 years old, my

Blonde hair, blue eyes, and a smile that you'll never forget. By definition my mom is just a mom, but to me, she is a superhero. To say the least my
mom has been through hell and back, but clinging to hope and faith she has jumped every hurdle that is placed in front of her. To be half the woman my
mother is, will be a true blessing.
My mom has one of those laughs that is contagious, one that you can't help but laugh along. She has crystal blue eyes that'll make anyone with
brown eyes jealous, long blonde hair, and just the right amount of freckles. Without a doubt, she has the biggest heart and the kindest soul I have ever
seen. She would drop anything and everything to help whoever was in need. Her love for her children is indescribable. There was never a time that I
didn't see my mom cheering in the stands at every game, coming to every parent–teacher night, or watching at every dance recital.
Growing up was nothing short of easy, attending 6 different schools by the time she was 15 due to overcrowding, moving, and alternative reasons.
She was forced to drop out in the eleventh grade because my oldest brother was on his way. "One night can change your life forever." My mom
was 16 with a newborn baby, struggling to make it day by day. Her parents didn't condone her having a baby at such a young age so they wanted
her out. "Do you know what it feels like to be so young, so scared, and having your parents want nothing to do with you or the baby you're about to
have?" Overcoming all of those obstacles, my parents both went back to school and eventually opened their own business in child care. When I ask
my mom what she would do differently in her early life, she always answers with "not a darn thing".
Owning a child care center had its ups and downs. There were always those kids who would come in with rags for clothes, and shoes that looked
about 8 months too small. My mom had the biggest heart for those kids, always wanting to just take them home and care for them. There was a time
when 3 sisters enrolled, all being about a year and a half apart from each other. Their mother was abusing drugs and the boyfriend seemed to be
abusing the kids. Seeing the marks and listening to the oldest sister tell stories of

Profile of My Mother
Getting to know my Mom It took me eighteen years to spend some quality time with my mother and discover what an incredible journey she has
had with my brothers and me. She is the kind of person who has always been very involved with all parts of our daily lives. In fact, she was the kind of
mother who always had time for her three sons, worked full–time and had time to devote to community projects too. Her energy and enthusiasm for all
of these things seemed endless and she always tried to teach the three of us to see the value in the idea of giving back to the community. I was always
glad that she was present at my games and supported me through school, but it took me over a decade to learn what motivated her to be so...show more

My mother also says, "...I am pretty sure God intended for me to have sons. I am more of a tomboy than I am barbie doll. I am sure I would not
have done well teaching a daughter how to do all the girlie things. Not to mention, when my nieces were little, I noticed the drama began very
early on and they talked incessantly." Of course she winks and grins with these remarks. She was like a second mother to my cousins and loves
them dearly. As much as she is quick to point out the reasons she loved having sons and why they are so easy to raise, there is more to this story. I
can 't count the times she has asked all of us why we need to scratch ourselves all of the time. This is not something females understand. It is not
something males really want or feel they need to explain because it is just what we do. She can laugh about it and enjoyed imitating us and asking if
we would like to see her walking around the house in her underwear scratching or fondling her parts. My mother was less tolerant of another brotherly
trait – squabbling. That was another part of our dynamic which just seemed normal to my brothers and me. We just liked to agitate each other. To my
mother this was upsetting because she didn 't want anyone hurt and she wanted to make sure we had good relationships in the future. It was not easy
for her to get us to engage in conversations about feelings and relationships. Try as she might, we were most often not did not feel her same

Narrative Essay About My Mom
Something about my mom just helps me always stay positive. Whether it's the way she lives life to the fullest, the troubles that she has gone
through, or the way she bounces back from those troubles. My mom has always kept her positive act on, and I don't know how she does it. She
will always be the person in the room that is the most bubbly and excited about life. She has gone through hard times but though hope has guided
her through hard experiences with life. My mom lost her dad when she was older but it still had a big impact on her. I think that my grandpas death
was one of the most difficult things my mom has gone through. My grandpa or my moms dad passed away February 6th 2004. My moms dad had a
heart attack when he was in the car. My mom has always said that she thinks he was driving to the hospital. I have always thought that my...show more

My mom think about her dad everyday and think about the positive impact he had on her. My mom tells us stories about what he dad would do if
he was still with us now. Throughout the stories my mom has told us I know many characteristics of my grandpa. My favorite stories are the ones
that my mom likes the best, which are all of them. My mom has always told my sister and I if we ever want to talk to our grandpa or be with him
he is always there for us and here with us even though he isn't here. She also had bears made for us so we could be with our grandpa and act as
though the bear is him. My sister and I sleep with our bears on our bed every night, this helps us sleep and get a better night's rest. The reason the
bears are so special to us is because they are made from my grandpas robe. This is important to me, because even though my has a hard time with the
situation she still helps other people with the situation. As you can tell my mom can act as though nothing is wrong and help other people. That's why
she represents

My Mother In My Life
My mother is a very complicated woman. I believe the best way to describe her would be, "the road to hell is paved with good intentions." I know,
weird way to start off my literary story, right? As much as I do not like my mother, I love her, and respect her. While I am being honest, I owe my
work ethic and a vast majority of my success to her, as much as I hate to admit it. The way she lived her life, most college graduates and the societal
hoity toity types would raise their noses to. However, you can't deny her dedication to her children and their education, she is the start of my literacy
journey. My mother wasn't always...how do it put this? Let's go with questionable, and she was stable and the picture–perfect mother when she was
married to my father. My mother and father thought it would be beneficial for her to stay at home with my twin brother and I. Flash cards were
always there, before Kindergarten my mom made sure my twin and I could count to 100, we knew our ABC's, we could write our names, our
parents' names, knew our address and phone number. Every Thursday we went to the public library for story time and to pick out our books for
the week. Before nap and before bed we would read one of Miguel's books and one of mine, some of the books we read so much that my brother
and I memorized the stories. We would even pretend to read those favorite stories. As the years went on and we went to school my mother was super
involved. She had all our grades emailed to her,

Descriptive Essay About My Mom
In my 16 years of life thus far, few people have influenced me more than my mother. She is the reason I have a life, after all, and I am extremely
thankful for her and everything she does for me. Mothers tend to be great listeners and advice–givers for their children. I am fortunate enough to have
my mother be a professional counselor, making her exceptional at both qualities. A couple of years ago, she earned a master's degree, became both a
school counselor and a clinical counselor, and specialized in helping young people. This proved especially beneficial for me during my awkward and
confusing preteen years and remains that way during my late teen years. From conferences and meetings, she learned about how the teenage brain
grows and...show more content...
Stress about school, my appearance, my social status, my future, among other worries consumed my thoughts, and I could not figure out why. To
satisfy my problems, I came to the incorrect assumption that nothing I did mattered in the long run. This only shifted my sadness from stress about
everything to the empty feeling that I was living for no reason. I drifted through the days, attempting to forget about my ridiculous idea, but for some
reason my birthday triggered the insecurity inside. I tried to hide my pain, so no one would not worry about me. After a small party with my family,
during which I faked smiles and pretended to be happy, my mother approached me in the kitchen of our house. Family tends to stay late at parties, so
by the time everyone was gone my father and siblings were already asleep, and my mother and I were basically alone.
"What's the matter?" she said, affectionately. She explained that throughout the day she noticed my sulking around the house, but did not want to
confront me in front of our family.
"Nothing," I replied, "I'm fine." Most people would not like to delve any further than that; moody kids are usually not the best conversationalists. She
could have used this as a way out and gone to bed and avoid discussing my odd behavior, but she wanted to confirm everything was honestly all right,
or rather, discover what was wrong.
"Seriously," she persisted. "I'm not going

Descriptive Essay About My Mom
When I was born, I was one pound and ten ounces. I was too small to be a healthy child. I was put on a ventilator, and I was transferred to a different
hospital being escorted by 4 police cars surrounded by the ambulance. Some people did not believe I would live to be a normal child because I was
supposed to have many complications yet the only thing I developed was bad eye sight. When my mother was able to hold me three months after I was
born she made a promise to me that she will be a good mom. My mom carries characteristics like inspiration, trustworthiness, and being positive, which
makes her the best mom.

There was one old man who shared his story of how he came back from serving in the Middle East and no one wanted to hire him because he is a
retired veteran. There was also a young woman who shared her story on how she escaped her abusive household. All of these stories would make
me sad, and mad with the injustices in the world. From them I realized how privileged I am to have a roof over my head, have food, water, and
receive an education. From these stories, my mom inspired me to give back to people that are less fortunate and one day share this experience when I
have children of my own.
Between my mom and my dad, I tell my mom the majority of what goes on in my life instead of my dad. My dad was raised completely different
than my mom. My dad was raised by rules and guidelines while my mom was raised on consequences. With this in hand, my dad's rules for me
never worked out since I would do the complete opposite. One of these occasions was the day I snuck out with my friend Linda to the beach at
midnight. I was happy to feel the cold sand on my toes, and smelling the salty breeze from the ocean. I wanted to get away from the stress of senior
year, college applications, and boys of course. While I did have a good time while it lasted, I came home at 3 o'clock in the morning. I told my mom
the next day that I snuck out. I also told her that the cameras took a picture of my license as I passed

to popular belief. She kind of is not just my mom she for the most part is also my really the best friend in a for all intents and purposes major way.

Becoming a Mom Changed My Life Essay
Two of the greatest days of my life were the days my daughters were born. The first time I held the both of them and gazed into their eyes I felt a
sense of relief and hope. The feeling is a warm tingling sensation that engulfed my entire body. The emotions that I felt are beyond what words can
explain. It's amazing to me that in the first few minutes of their lives they completely changed my perception of the world.
Motherhood has taught me many life lessons. Before becoming a mother, I was a self centered child. I had no motivation to succeed. All I was worried
about was where the next party was. At that time I had no want to try because I was so scared to fail. I was slowly progressing to go nowhere and do
nothing with my life....show more content...
They just want to learn about the world around them. They have inspired me to go out and try new things. Every day they grow a little bit more
independent. As they grow, I grow.
I have learned a lot about success from my daughters. For example, I watched them learn to walk. They weeble, they wobble and fall down. But no
matter how many times they fall, they get up and try again. It has taught me that no matter what obstacles occur, if I just continue to try I can and will
succeed.
My daughters are my motivation to succeed. Each day I work very hard to provide for them. Some days I really just want to give up. I don't want to
be a student, I don't want to work. I just want to quit. But when I think to myself how their faces light up at the sight of me, Mommy. I realize that if I
quit now I'm quitting on them. It is no longer about my wants and needs it is about their wants and needs first.
The greatest reward of being a mother is the love I share with my children. It is like no other. It is pure and unconditional. There is no greater
feeling than when my two year old say "Mommy I love you" or when my ten month old gives me kisses. The love we share is the greatest gift from
God that I have ever received.
In the short time that I have been a mother I have learned many things. I have realized that every day is a learning experience. I have taken the mistakes
that I have made and learned from them. My children have pushed me to strive for

Becoming A Mom Research Paper

  • 1. Becoming A Mom Research Paper A mother has the toughest job in the world. She has to love her children and discipline them all in the same breath. I became a mother at the age of seventeen. It was by far the hardest thing I've ever dealt with, but in some way it made me a better person. Becoming a mother helped me grow up by teaching me responsibility, unconditional love, and by showing me to be thankful for my own mother. First, As Danielle's mother, it was my responsibility to physically, emotionally, and financially take care of her. Giving her baths every night and making sure her teeth were brushed was one way I physically took care of Danielle. Waking up all hours of the night to feed Danielle when she was a baby was also a way I physically took care of her. I had to emotionally support my daughter by rocking her when she was upset and crying. I also had to be there to pick her up when she fell down, or to comfort her when someone was being mean. Being a single mom, I had to work full–time while trying to attend school to financially support Danielle. Buying diapers and keeping her in clothes was what the majority of my money was spent on. Who knew little babies grew so fast! The little money I had left over always went towards essentials like: rent, daycare, and household items....show more content... Danielle showed me that it was possible to love someone more than I loved myself. Seeing Danielle grow has brought more joy to my life than I could have ever imagined. She makes me so proud to be her mom. There is nothing in this world more important than my little girl. I would gladly put my life on the line for her at any second. Even when I'm at my worst, Danielle is always my biggest fan. She seems to know just the right moment to wrap her arms around my neck. Even when I look horrible, she still tells me how beautiful she thinks I Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 2. Descriptive Essay About My Mom She didn't have to choose me, she didn't have to provide for me, she didn't have to love me and she most definitely didn't have to take me in, but she did. I'm so unbelievably proud to call my mom my hero. When I was just a baby, I was living with my Biological mom and it was an abusive home. She didn't provide for me, nurture me, or any of the things you should do for a baby. Sadly, she was too drunk all the time to even feed me. When I was 10 months Social Services took me to a foster home and when I was one, I was adopted by the most amazing and most beautiful person whom to this day, I call my mom. She adopted me, and took me in like I was her own child. Growing up she showed me that she is going to love me, take care of me, and most importantly, treat me like I'm wanted. She stayed awake numbers of nights just holding me while I lied awake crying my eyes out from my scary past and they turned into night mares. To this day, I still have those dreams. In my opinion, it would be quite annoying to have a baby screaming and crying all the time. But she didn't mind because she understood I was hurting. There was a time when all my siblings and I were together, and had dinner together. All the little kids were playing outside and we could see them through the window. My mom didn't want them in there for this talk. My mom told us she has Skin and Kidney Cancer. She told us she didn't know how bad it was but that we will keep on going forward with doctors' appointments. Almost every day that my mom was going through that, she has stayed positive even when she is hurting to her max. I might be bragging a little bit, but I believe I have the strongest mom out there. My mom always made sure my siblings and I had smiles on our faces even when we didn't want to smile. Now a days, I'm her favorite trouble child! I got sent away for half a year to a residential treatment facility. I truly believed my mom was giving me up when she told me I'm going to treatment for 6 months. I've never had so much hate in my heart before for someone. Even after all of the times I was so unbelievably rude, and nasty, and hateful towards her, she took it all, and still showed me love. There was never a day when I was gone that she Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 3. Descriptive Essay About My Mom Knock, knock... the sound on the door caught our attention. It was around 11 at night and all one could hear was chirping of crickets and the purr of my cat, Maya. I was sitting there in my mom's lap crying as loudly as possible. My mom, exhausted from all the daily chores was trying to get me to sleep. There was hair all over the place and I was crying and shouting at my mom. That's when we heard the knock. If it had been during the day, we would not be that anxious, but it was almost midnight. My mom and I gazed at each other in awe; there was a moment of silence. Then we heard a second knock. It was louder than before. I looked at my mom, I could see she fear in her eyes too. My mom who was also scared and curious slowly kept me down and...show more content... I had always been very fond and proud of my hair. No matter what others tell me, I would always go infront of my mirror andlook at my hair, and believe me, I had never been unsatisfied by it. I used to wonder what was wrong with these people. I had my hair just like my mother's; half curly and half straight. According to my mom, she got her curly hair from her father and the straight ones from her mom. When I looked in the mirror all I could see was the front part , which was soft and silky. What I could not see and others could see was the curly and rough hair on the hind part that standed perpendicular to my head. Whenever my parents tried to cut my hair I would run and hide somewhere until they gave up the idea. I still remember the time when they tried to cut my hair and I ran away and hid in the storage building for the whole day. I can understand my parents too. I was an energetic little girl. I would make a lot of mess around the house and get my clothes and hair dirty. Now when I live by myself I understand the amount of load my parents had. Things does change a lot when we grow older but as a stubborn little girl back then my only ultimate goal was to convince my parents to let me have a long hair. In the day of the incident my father had tried to chop my hair with his big old scissors. He had even lectured me about how disgusting it would be Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 4. Essay about My Mom is the Perfect Role Model "Children have never been very good at listening to their elders, but they have never failed to imitate them." –––― James Baldwin To write about my role models, I could have picked teachers, I could have picked people extremely influential in their field, and I could have picked models and other aesthetically pleasing individuals. But instead, I found the perfect combination of all three: my mother. There isn't one person on this earth more educational, more competent, and more aesthetically pleasing than my mother. And there isn't one person on this earth that can re–direct my role model focus from her. My mother has suffered parental loss, the threat of cancer and what might be one of the hardest things to do, raising two girls. At...show more content... When I told her I wanted to go into music, flute performance especially, she knew that it would be challenging and that I'd be looking for jobs left and right. But she also knew that I was a good player and key figure in the musical world both in my school, state and country, having performed in Europe. Flute is one of the most difficult instruments to be proficient in and master. However, she held me high and let me do what I knew I loved instead of encouraging me to go into a more "stable" field. Some may say it's easy to choose your mother for a role model, that it's a no–brainer. Not so. Not only does my mother have a professional attitude worth emulating, she has the attitude of a child, too. None of my other friends' mom's are willing to stick their tongue at you while telling you "I told you so!", in jest of course. I think she's the greatest for being able to come home from a long day of practicing Psychotherapy, dealing with people crazier than I, and just chill out in the living room with me, a glass of wine and Jerry Springer. • 6. My Mother, My Friend My Mother, My Friend It is not easy, moving back home with your parents as an adult. Especially when you are the parent of grown children yourself. Due to circumstances beyond my control, that is what I had to do. Although I had been out of my parents home for over thirty years and had been married (and divorced) moving back home kind of felt like I had never left. I believe that is because my parents were treating me as though I was the unruly teenager I once was. That and the fact I was in MY bedroom. I choose to do my relationship analysis paper on my relationship with my mother Juanita. My mom has Alzheimer's, and communication can be frustrating at times. The three communication concepts I will focus on are, 1. Becoming a better listener, 2, Expressing myself to her in a way she can better understand and 3. Paying better attention to her nonverbal cues. I love my mother dearly, and want to be able to communicate with her the best we can. My mother is one of the most important people in my life. In fact, she is probably THE most important person in my life. She is beautiful, she is kind, she is thoughtful and she is honest. She is a good wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. There is not a mean bone in her body. I have worked for the last fifteen years doing in Home Health Care for Alzheimer's patients and their families, so when my mom got diagnosed I was devastated. It's incredible the way she shows compassion towards everyone. Her way of demonstrating compassion is very unique. She always puts herself in everyone else's shoes, without naming their flaws. He said that due to his grave condition he had to be placed in intensive care. That as soon as my brother's condition stabilized, we would be able to see him. My mother was trying to be strong, I could see it in her eyes and in the way she talked. Since time was passing by and we were already tired, my father took us to a hotel and left us there. He then went back to the hospital with my mother. Days went by and little improvement was shown, things were beginning to look good. Nurses informed us that we were able to see my brother. But only two people can be in the room at once. So both of my parents went in first. Then after a while, my brothers and I went in. He was in a bed asleep, he looked tired and exhausted. We decided to leave and let him rest. Finally, a doctor came out the door and through the hallway looking for my parents. My mother quickly stood up and asked him how was my brother doing. She does not pay much attention to news happening outside her local area and prefers to focus on what's happening in her immediate area. • 9. Narrative Essay : My Mom For this narrative, I interviewed my mom, Amanda Lopez. At first, she seems mean. That's very blunt but it's true. My mom is a very guarded and self–reserved person. She does have manners and she is nice but, she won't open up immediately to a new person. She is also very hard working and independent. When asked about the future, she state "I never thought about the future, it was more of a day by day, moment by moment kind of thing. How am I going to pay for this and when will I get my homework done?" My mom had to buy her own clothes, pay the rent at her mom's house, and juggle school work. So, as you can imagine, she had a lot on her plate. Although, she did have support from her aunt and uncle. But, she still had to do a lot of things on her own. "Aunt Terri and I would go to her parent's house and hang out on the farm. We would do every day normal stuff like baking and knitting." Essentially, Aunt Terri was the mom she never had, she taught her basic skills and gave her tips on different things. This critical time made every member in my family really upset. But it was my mother, the persistent and brave women, strongly stood up and started over again after this great adversity. Each of her failures, her grief, and the way she overcame difficulties to move on has made an indelible impression in my mind, leaving me with precious lessons about the values of strong wills and indefatigable endeavors to firmly confront with setbacks and bravely conquer them. There was time when I felt that there was no more hope in life, that I felt very weary and was about to give up everything. After the constant moving from one place to another and my grades slipping down the drain I was unable to deal with any small problems and felt embarrassed to meet my relatives and friends. However, that was also the time that I acquired from my mother how to learn from her mistakes and developed my own set of tools to take more lessons from them to realize the proper meanings of determination. There are so many great traits I love and admire about my mom, that it would be difficult and unfair to write about just one. My mom instilled As a child, my mother displayed the seriousness of spirituality. In which she expressed her faith in us at an early age, that prayer time was not the time to make jokes nor to complain about having to partake in it. One lesson she taught us the most, was how seriousness about our spiritual beliefs could provide us with a substantial, stable and structural lifestyle. My mother's heart is at its purest when giving. I witnessed my mother chip in and pay for people's rent, car notes, and buying them groceries. Although my mother's intentions were good, occasionally, her generosity has been taken advantage of. One time a close friend of the family, came to my mother in desperate need. He asked her to loan him a large amount of money, with the agreement that he would pay back in either monthly or weekly installments. My mom never did see the money that was due to her. • 15. Being A Mother : My Life Of My Mother My mother is the most diligent worker I know and I highly respect her for that. My mom, sister, and I moved across the globe to find better opportunities for jobs and Education. She worked two jobs as a single mother, and was still able to take care of and support my sister and me in anything we aspired to do. Being a mother itself is difficult enough because it is an everyday job with no brakes or vacation. She is the person who inspires me and the person who motivates me to do my best at everything I do. To her, my sister and I's happiness was worth more to her than her own and for that I truly believe she is the best person in the world. Even when things get hard for her, she does not take time out for herself. During the death of my grandfather, she had no time to grieve over him because she told us that she has work to keep my sister and I fed and happy. That was when I realized that if she is going through all the gruelling effort just to keep me and my sister happy, then my goal in life would just to give back to her by making her proud of me. With her as my motivation I joined things that would make her proud. Freshmen year, I auditioned for thehigh school traveling band, which was a truly challenging band to get into. I was one of only six freshmen to get in. Joining that band allowed me to experience my first time traveling with the school across the country to perform at Carnegie Hall in New York, one of the most prestigious halls to perform in the world. There are many different definitions you could use to describe your mother. My mother, Pam Krull, fits every one of those. Today I decided to pick the three that I thought was most important to me. I admire and aspire to be like my mother because of how supportive, how selfless, and how loving she is. My mom has gone through a lot to get where she is today. I will begin by telling you a little bit about my mom's background. My mom grew up outside of George with her parents, Harris and Bev Kaster, and her three siblings, Erik, Brad, and Kristy. She attended George High School when they were still Blue Jays. My mom was involved in a lot of different activities. She was in the play, large group and individual speech, a cheerleader, played the drums in band, was in student council, secretary of her class, REC club, band, and jazz band. In her free time she hung out with friends and her sister. She had a few jobs growing up also. She babysat a lot, worked at the library, and the dentist office. My mother also helped teach bible school, catechism, and attended youth group at Hope Reformed Church. My mother met my dad, Doug Krull when she was a junior in high school. They dated for a while and ended getting married. They then had three beautiful daughters, Allyssa, Megan, and Rebecca. • 17. My Mother And Mother My mother was my primary caregiver throughout all of my childhood. While my father was in the picture for a majority of my childhood, he was also a severe alcoholic which greatly impacted my upbringing. My rules, obligations, and expectations were not always set in stone and did often depend on the time, situation, and/or mood of my parents. I think it is normal for parents to differ slightly in their parenting styles occasionally. As a young kid I remember my sister and I being very aware that the mood my mother was in greatly contributed to the outcome of a question or event. I think most, if not all of us can relate to this. Overall however, I would say that my mother had an authoritative parenting style. My mother made is very clear that she was the parent and in charge, however she was welcoming and understanding enough that I felt comfortable coming to her with questions or problems. My mom was also very encouraging and supportive. She always pushed me to do my best but never made me feel bad if I did not reach my goals. I was lucky to have such a great relationship with my mom, not everyone does. As a young teenager I had many friends who would come to me with questions and concerns because they knew my mom was so open–minded and understanding. • 18. Descriptive Essay About Mom When I was 10 years old, I realized my so–called mother might not be related to me. I had started to grow to around 5' tall, but I still felt small among my classmates, most of whom were 5' 3" at the time. There was one person who would make me feel tall, and that person was my mother. Although my so–called mother was only 4'11, the difference was noticeable, well, to me at least. As soon as I saw the height difference, I immediately capitalized on it; it was one of the best things to happen to me. "Hey mom!" I said, coming from the backyard. "Yes, sweetie?" my mom said from her bedroom, "Do you need something?" I walked into her room and stood next to her to show I was taller, "Looks like I'm the adult now!" I said, my smile as big as it's ever been before. "Are you now?" my mother said, chuckling. "Then I guess you can pay the bills, and do all my chores and go to my work while I go to school." My smile quickly faded; I did not understand that she was joking. I was angry, and stomped to my room. Lying in bed, I started to think, How can she make me do all that? She's a monster, I can't be her son. Then, as if a lightbulb went off in my head, I realized that she was not really my mother. If more proof is needed, I have more examples. My so–called mother had a very short temper for a very long time, and even now she gets angry somewhat quickly. I on the other hand, was very calm, and still am to this day. To say the least my mom has been through hell and back, but clinging to hope and faith she has jumped every hurdle that is placed in front of her. To be half the woman my mother is, will be a true blessing. My mom has one of those laughs that is contagious, one that you can't help but laugh along. She has crystal blue eyes that'll make anyone with brown eyes jealous, long blonde hair, and just the right amount of freckles. Without a doubt, she has the biggest heart and the kindest soul I have ever seen. She would drop anything and everything to help whoever was in need. Her love for her children is indescribable. There was never a time that I didn't see my mom cheering in the stands at every game, coming to every parent–teacher night, or watching at every dance recital. Growing up was nothing short of easy, attending 6 different schools by the time she was 15 due to overcrowding, moving, and alternative reasons. She was forced to drop out in the eleventh grade because my oldest brother was on his way. "One night can change your life forever." My mom was 16 with a newborn baby, struggling to make it day by day. Her parents didn't condone her having a baby at such a young age so they wanted her out. "Do you know what it feels like to be so young, so scared, and having your parents want nothing to do with you or the baby you're about to have?" Overcoming all of those obstacles, my parents both went back to school and eventually opened their own business in child care. When I ask my mom what she would do differently in her early life, she always answers with "not a darn thing". Owning a child care center had its ups and downs. There were always those kids who would come in with rags for clothes, and shoes that looked about 8 months too small. My mom had the biggest heart for those kids, always wanting to just take them home and care for them. She was like a second mother to my cousins and loves them dearly. As much as she is quick to point out the reasons she loved having sons and why they are so easy to raise, there is more to this story. I can 't count the times she has asked all of us why we need to scratch ourselves all of the time. This is not something females understand. It is not something males really want or feel they need to explain because it is just what we do. She can laugh about it and enjoyed imitating us and asking if we would like to see her walking around the house in her underwear scratching or fondling her parts. My mother was less tolerant of another brotherly trait – squabbling. That was another part of our dynamic which just seemed normal to my brothers and me. We just liked to agitate each other. To my mother this was upsetting because she didn 't want anyone hurt and she wanted to make sure we had good relationships in the future. I am fortunate enough to have my mother be a professional counselor, making her exceptional at both qualities. A couple of years ago, she earned a master's degree, became both a school counselor and a clinical counselor, and specialized in helping young people. I drifted through the days, attempting to forget about my ridiculous idea, but for some reason my birthday triggered the insecurity inside. I tried to hide my pain, so no one would not worry about me. After a small party with my family, during which I faked smiles and pretended to be happy, my mother approached me in the kitchen of our house. Family tends to stay late at parties, so by the time everyone was gone my father and siblings were already asleep, and my mother and I were basically alone. I was put on a ventilator, and I was transferred to a different hospital being escorted by 4 police cars surrounded by the ambulance. Some people did not believe I would live to be a normal child because I was supposed to have many complications yet the only thing I developed was bad eye sight. When my mother was able to hold me three months after I was born she made a promise to me that she will be a good mom. My mom carries characteristics like inspiration, trustworthiness, and being positive, which makes her the best mom. My mom is the manager of a daycare called Panda Hugs Learning Center. There was one old man who shared his story of how he came back from serving in the Middle East and no one wanted to hire him because he is a retired veteran. There was also a young woman who shared her story on how she escaped her abusive household. All of these stories would make me sad, and mad with the injustices in the world. From them I realized how privileged I am to have a roof over my head, have food, water, and receive an education. From these stories, my mom inspired me to give back to people that are less fortunate and one day share this experience when I have children of my own. Between my mom and my dad, I tell my mom the majority of what goes on in my life instead of my dad. My dad was raised completely different than my mom. My dad was raised by rules and guidelines while my mom was raised on consequences. With this in hand, my dad's rules for me never worked out since I would do the complete opposite. One of these occasions was the day I snuck out with my friend Linda to the beach at midnight. I was happy to feel the cold sand on my toes, and smelling the salty breeze from the ocean. I wanted to get away from the stress of senior year, college applications, and boys of course. While I did have a good time while it lasted, I came home at 3 o'clock in the morning. I told my mom the next day that I snuck out. I also told her that the cameras took a picture of my license as I passed Get more content on HelpWriting.net

  • 26. Becoming a Mom Changed My Life Essay Two of the greatest days of my life were the days my daughters were born. The first time I held the both of them and gazed into their eyes I felt a sense of relief and hope. The feeling is a warm tingling sensation that engulfed my entire body. The emotions that I felt are beyond what words can explain. It's amazing to me that in the first few minutes of their lives they completely changed my perception of the world. Motherhood has taught me many life lessons. Before becoming a mother, I was a self centered child. I had no motivation to succeed. All I was worried about was where the next party was. At that time I had no want to try because I was so scared to fail. I was slowly progressing to go nowhere and do nothing with my life....show more content... They just want to learn about the world around them. They have inspired me to go out and try new things. Every day they grow a little bit more independent. As they grow, I grow. I have learned a lot about success from my daughters. For example, I watched them learn to walk. They weeble, they wobble and fall down. But no matter how many times they fall, they get up and try again. It has taught me that no matter what obstacles occur, if I just continue to try I can and will succeed. My daughters are my motivation to succeed. Each day I work very hard to provide for them. Some days I really just want to give up. I don't want to be a student, I don't want to work. I just want to quit. But when I think to myself how their faces light up at the sight of me, Mommy. I realize that if I quit now I'm quitting on them. It is no longer about my wants and needs it is about their wants and needs first. The greatest reward of being a mother is the love I share with my children. It is like no other. It is pure and unconditional. There is no greater feeling than when my two year old say "Mommy I love you" or when my ten month old gives me kisses. The love we share is the greatest gift from God that I have ever received. In the short time that I have been a mother I have learned many things. I have realized that every day is a learning experience. I have taken the mistakes that I have made and learned from them. My children have pushed me to strive for Get more content on HelpWriting.net
