ARTISTIC BIOGRAPHY
Paola is a second semester student at Berklee. Before coming to Berklee in September 2014,
she was a school teacher in Italy. She is currently taking a sabbatical from teaching to advance
her studies at Berklee. She has recently declared her major in Music Therapy while also
exploring her songwriting abilities.
She was born and raised in Sicily, in a family full of artists. Her grandmother was an organist,
her grandfather a tenor and a painter and her father a drummer and singer. She learned to
paint and sing even before she was able to write.
At 10, she started her musical life, becoming part of the children’s choir in one of the main
theaters in Italy. After 8 year spent singing Puccini and Bizet, Mozart and Britten, she was
forced to stop.
Now, finally, Berklee is her second chance in life! After two bachelor degrees in
psychopedagogy and education, two specializations in teaching methods for children with
special needs and a master in Infantil Glottodidactics, she decided to follow her dreams and
come to Berklee. Thirsty for learning always something new, there, she will study what she
was born to do and will find a path to bridge her interests between the theatre, stage and the
classroom.
