3. Urban Places
An urban area is a region that surrounds a city. They can be
known as towns, cities or suburbs.

and sporting facilities are established to meet the needs
of the residents.

A rural area is a region with very few homes and buildings.
The population density of a rural area is low compared to
urban areas.

Coastal places are cities and suburbs that sit on the coast.
People decide to move to the coast because they want a more

and other landforms.
