Panagiotis Andrikopoulos
Panagiotis Andrikopoulos is a PhD candidate at Kadir Has University, Istanbul, Turkey. His research focuses on ‘critical geopoli-
tics’ and how dominant geopolitical discourses construct a certain spatialization of the globe. His doctoral thesis is titled
“Geopolitical Representations of Turkey in the post-Cold War era: A Critical Appraisal of US Think Tanks’ Discourses”. Since
December 2012, he is also a TÜBİTAK (Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey) Fellow. He holds a Bachelor’s
degree in Political Science and History and a Master’s degree in International Relations and Strategic Studies, both from Pante-
ion University of Athens, Greece. His main areas of research are critical geopolitics, international relations theory, foreign po-
licy analysis (US, Turkey, Greece and Israel in particular), critical security studies and discourse analysis.
