College of the Ozarks to host the 2017 Leadership and Character Education Conference, “100 Ready-to-
Go Character and Leadership Ideas,” Feb. 3, 2017
POINT LOOKOUT, MO. — The Keeter Center for Character Education at College of the Ozarks is set to host an
upcoming Leadership and Character Education Conference on Friday, Feb. 3, 2017.
The objective of the conference is to provide 100 ready-to-go character and leadership ideas for K-8 teachers who desire
improvement in discipline, classroom behavior, test scores,and attendance.
All educators who are taking the first steps to encouraging leadership for all students, or those who serve students in
grades K-8 in an official Leader in Me school, are encouraged to attend.
The conference will include six individual presentations on easy-to-implement leadership lessons and activities from
teaching professionals in Southwest Missouri.
Conference Times: 8 a.m. – Noon (Registration check-in 7:30 a.m. to 8:00 a.m.)

Presentations will include the following:
• Integrating leadership into daily school routines and whole school activities
• Providing leadership opportunities for every student
• Impacting academics with Leader in Me

• Navigating the first year of Leader in Me implementation
