MS to launch low-cost Windows Phone 7 Next Week<br /><ul><li>The world’s largest software maker Microsoft  is set to launch its first line Windows Phone 7 products next week and announce which carries and manufacturers will be making and selling handsets based on its next mobile Operating System.
  3. 3. The Windows Phone 7 will come with a 5 Mega Pixel camera, a large multi-touch screen, Wi-fi , bluetooth and a minimum of 128 MB RAM.

It is evident that AT & T is on board as one of the carriers as Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer and AT & T CEO Ralph de la Vega will be jointly hosting a press conference in new york on Oct 11 to discuss the latest develpoments of windows phone 7 based on its next mobile operating system.</li></li></ul><li>Hyundai to raise capacity to ensure 22% market share<br /><ul><li>South Korean car maker, Hyundai, plans to tweak its existing Indian operations to expand the manufacturing capacity.

  7. 7. Tata Motors started open sales of the Rs.1-lakh car in Maharashtra, West Bengal, Uttar Pradesh and Karnataka on Tuesday, making it possible for people to purchase the car directly from dealers instead of booking it.
  8. 8. Customers in these states that have not booked a Nano so far can now purchase the Nano directly from showrooms, the company said in a statement.
  9. 9. Customers will be able to take a closer look at and test drive the Tata Nano across all Tata Motors dealerships and special Nano access points, it said. Last year, Tata Motors had selected 1.55 lakh customers for delivering the car in two phases.

It is in the process of delivering the car to the first one lakh customers, which will be completed by the end of this year</li></li></ul><li>Many mobile users blocked as telcos go on security drive<br /><ul><li>DoT has asked for 100% subscriber reverification by October 30, which is posing a huge challenge for operators considering that the mobile subscriber base has crossed 670 million.
