  5. 5.  Air India further advances bonus payment Changing its decision twice in as many days, Air India on Saturday announced further advancement of the date of payment of allowances to its 29,000 employees, saying these incentives would be disbursed along with the salaries on November 1 itself.  6 of top 10 cos add Rs 34,546 cr in m-cap The combined market capitalization (m-cap) of six of the top-10 companies went up by Rs 34,546 crore in the past week, with the maximum gain being registered by software giant Tata Consultancy Services.  Maruti plans to add 1,500 service outlets by 2015 NEW DELHI: The country's largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India is planning to ramp up its service centres by a massive 1,500 outlets by 2015 in line with its expansion of production capacity to over 17 lakh units annually.
  6. 6.  Honda recalls 528,000 vehicles, mainly in US DETROIT: Honda Motor Co Ltd said on Friday it was recalling 528,000 vehicles worldwide due to potential problems with a master brake cylinder seal. Most of the recalled vehicles are Odyssey minivans sold in the United States.  China becomes Volvo's third largest market: Report BEIJING: China has become the third largest market for Volvo, which was recently acquired by Chinese car maker Geely, state media reported on Saturday.  Dr Reddy's reports Rs 290 crore net profit HYDERABAD: Pharma major Dr Reddy's laboratories reported a net profit of Rs 290 crore in the second quarter ended September 30, up 32 per cent against the same period last year.
  7. 7.  I-T dept hands Vodafone $2.5bn bill NEW DELHI: The I-T department on Friday slapped a tax demand of Rs 11,217.95 crore ($2.5 billion) on Vodafone International Holdings BV, treating it as a defaulter in the $11.07-billion deal to acquire Hutchison Telecommunication's stake in Hutchison Telecommunications India (HTIL).  AIA raises $17.9bn in 3rd biggest IPO HONG KONG: AIA, the Asian life insurance arm of AIG, raised $17.9 billion by pricing its Hong Kong IPO at the top of its range as investors piled into the most attractive offering in the world's hottest financial market.  MFIs agree to reduce interest rate to 24 p.c. HYDERABAD: While directing the district collectors to be tough on erring Micro Finance Institutions, the state government on Saturday told the MFIs to recover the payments once a month from the present weekly collection from rural borrowers.
