competitive price point. PowerNGN pricing is a limited offer only and terms and condition
as set out below apply. Customers with a requirement for any of the features below
should contact Exponential-e about its alternative PowerServe solution which is priced on
a bespoke basis:
• PowerNGN is a statically-routed service and does not support any routing
protocols like BGP
• The PowerNGN 25; 50 and 100 solutions are limited to a maximum of 16 IP
addresses with an option of up to 64 on a bespoke pricing basis. PowerNGN 200
includes a maximum of 64 IP addresses as standard.
• The standard service is unprotected with protection offered for an additional
charge on request
• The service is not available to customers providing hosted services to their clients
• The service is not available when the customer B-end is a data centre or hosting
facility

Executive Summary
No organisation can compete effectively without guaranteed fast, reliable, secure and

The PowerNGN Solution
Exponential-e’s PowerNGN is the first stepping stone of your NGN investment. It
comprises of a fibre optic connection, called PowerAccess, into our core NGN, (see Fig 1
below), and is the gateway to a multitude of complementary services that will simplify
and enhance your business whilst reducing your costs.

Once you have the PowerAccess circuit in place, your first default service – Carrier class
Internet access - is included. To cater for the diverse needs of business communities, we
have created four PowerNGN solution packages with different levels of internet
bandwidth, all for market-leading prices:
PowerNGN 25: 100mbps service bundled with 25mbps internet from £550/mth *
PowerNGN 50: 100mbps service bundled with 50mbps internet from £650/mth*
PowerNGN 100: 100mbps service bundled with 100mbps internet from £800/mth*
PowerNGN 200: One Gigabit service bundled with 200mbs internet from £1250/mth*
PowerNGN 25;50 and 100 are ‘100mpbs-ready’ - you have the option to provision extra
services, up to a full 100mbps capacity. However, moving beyond the capacity of the
package you have purchased, incurs extra charges. PowerNGN 200 gives you the option
of provisioning extra services up to the full Gigabit available for an extra charge. All
prices assume a three year term is taken.
Internet Access - Premium Grade Carrier-Class Internet
The Internet connection you receive with PowerNGN is the highest performance
professional-grade Internet available in the UK, it is called PowerServe. Our unique real-
time route optimisation functionality, called Route1TM, constantly probes the gateways of
providers, to discover, at any given moment, which global Internet route offers the
lowest latency, lowest packet loss and best jitter characteristics – meaning you benefit
from the highest quality and fastest connection times available in the UK. Our
competitors simply cannot match the speed and power of PowerNGN. Importantly,
Route1TM is Exponential-e’s proprietary routing algorithm that has been refined and
further optimized over the past 5 years. It is exclusive to Exponential-e and our clients.

But what if you don’t need the full Internet access capacity?
That’s fine. Take what you need and split the circuit up to use for other services or
applications. For example, with PowerNGN 100 today you may want to split the 100mbps
circuit up as follows:
• 30mbps Internet access
• 3mbps SIP trunk*
• 67mbps direct connection to your DR or data centre*
And tomorrow, if your business has changed, you may wish to re-configure the circuit
capacity as follows . . .
• 40mbps Internet access
• 6mbps SIP trunk*
• 25mbps direct connection to your DR or data centre*
• 29mbps direct connection to your office in Manchester for video
conferencing*
With the versatile PowerNGN circuit in place, it is up to you to decide how you wish to
configure the capacity on the circuit to create the bespoke network solution that meets
your day-to-day operational requirements; whether this is a direct connection to your
other offices to facilitate video conferencing, SIP trunks to enable Voice over IP or
displace old ISDN voice channels, or direct connections into data centres for off-site data
storage, the options are almost limitless.
