TEAM PEER EVALUATION FORM
The team must meet and assign scores to each team member that reflects how each team
member contributed to the completion of the business consultancy report. This is an
opportunity to reward the members of your team who worked hardest on the team’s
behalf and it is also an opportunity to fairly reflect the effort of team members who did
not perform as well or who did not make sufficient effort to participate in team activities.
5/8
Individual marks will be adjusted based on the team ratings you give each individual. See
the excel spreadsheet, How YOUR team’s ratings will affect YOUR marks,
available under the assessment details link in Blackboard.
INSTRUCTIONS
List the name and ID of each team member.
Agree to a team rating for each individual to reflect the contributions of each person
to the completion of the project by distributing 100 percentage points among them.
If the team had three members and all team members performed equally then all
would receive 33 points. If one person receives more than 33 points then one or
more others will need to receive less than 33 points.
Include a comment justifying the team’s allocation for each person.
NAME of Team Member ID Number SCORE COMMENT
DECLARATION AND SIGNATURES OF EACH TEAM MEMBER
By signing below I am indicating that I agree to the team allocation of scores above and
that I understand that the percentage score above will be used to adjust the team mark for
the assessment to arrive at my individual mark.

Term Definition
< Delete all the guidelines in green when you have completed the sections
below.>
Executive summary
<Provide a summary of two to three paragraphs (maximum one page). The
Executive Summary is just that, a summary of the report. Its purpose it to
provide a brief overview of the case study problem, what you discovered and
what you recommend. This section should appear on a page by itself. This is
the last section you write for the report not the first.>
Introduction
<This section is designed to tell the reader what this report is about and to
provide a guide to the remaining sections of the report. It should obviously
provided contextual information, that is, relate to the topic and the case
study. It should contain a few paragraphs. It often finishes with a short
paragraph telling the reader what is in the rest of the report. Aim for about
half a page – no more.>
Background
<In this section you should describe the case study client scenario in your
own words i.e. Who is your client? What do they do?
Then it is most important that you outline the problem they are facing. There
is no use researching for a solution if there is no problem. Then outline what
kind of system they want advice about? You are not required to recommend a
system in this section.
This section should be one to two paragraphs (maximum half a page) in
length.>
[Insert either Customer Relationship Management, Supply Chain
Management or eCommerce] Systems
<In this section you report on your research. You need to demonstrate to the
client that you understand what is meant by the specific concept (CRM, SCM
or eCommerce) relating to the case study project you have chosen and the
information systems that support it. Remember, this is not just computer
systems. You are studying information systems and so this includes data,
people and procedures (processes).
7/8
Use subsections in this section. Possible headings are:
The meaning of [insert specific concept CRM, SCM or eCommerce]
<Explain key terms and cite additional references to demonstrate research
and illustrate understanding.>
Issues and Benefits
<Describe in detail the challenges and issues involved when introducing such
a system to an organisation (e.g. staff resistance to change). Describe in
detail the benefits achieved when introducing such a system to an
organisation (e.g. improved customer satisfaction).
Current Trends and Examples in insert specific concept CRM, SCM
or eCommerce]
<If you have found something in your research such as a new trend or an
example of the use of your type of system then outline it here.>
<Overall this entire section should be about a page.>
Recommendations
< For any project there are often a range of options. The information
provided here should outline the option you recommend. Whatever you
recommend must take into consideration the cost versus the benefits. It may
be that you recommend a system that is updated overtime.
You should clearly indicate how you intend to implement it. Hint: refer to
Lecture 10 on systems development
System Specifications
< We are not expecting detailed computer specifications. The specific
systems are often very expensive and complex.
But you should be able to relate the things you have found about these
systems to the various components of information systems: hardware,
software, data, people and procedures. Focus on the last three key
components that distinguish information systems from computing; people,
procedures and data. Ask questions such as:
People
What sort of things will need to be done to include people who use the
system? We are not talking about customers but people in the business.
Procedures
8/8
What changes will be necessary to current processes (or procedures) to
ensure that the system will be successful?
Data
What sorts of data will be collected and how will this be done?
Conclusion
< Summarise the main points from your report>
Reference List
< Include a Harvard format reference list containing every reference cited in
the body of your report. Every entry here must have a matching citation e.g.
(Shackleton 2010) somewhere in the report>

See the excel spreadsheet, How YOUR team’s ratings will affect YOUR marks, available under the assessment details link in Blackboard. INSTRUCTIONS List the name and ID of each team member. If the team had three members and all team members performed equally then all would receive 33 points. If one person receives more than 33 points then one or more others will need to receive less than 33 points. Include a comment justifying the team’s allocation for each person. The Executive Summary is just that, a summary of the report. Its purpose it to provide a brief overview of the case study problem, what you discovered and what you recommend. This section should appear on a page by itself. This is the last section you write for the report not the first.> Introduction <This section is designed to tell the reader what this report is about and to provide a guide to the remaining sections of the report. It should obviously provided contextual information, that is, relate to the topic and the case study. It should contain a few paragraphs. It often finishes with a short paragraph telling the reader what is in the rest of the report. Aim for about half a page – no more.> Background <In this section you should describe the case study client scenario in your own words i.e. Who is your client? What do they do? Then it is most important that you outline the problem they are facing. There is no use researching for a solution if there is no problem. Then outline what kind of system they want advice about? You are not required to recommend a system in this section. This section should be one to two paragraphs (maximum half a page) in length.> [Insert either Customer Relationship Management, Supply Chain Management or eCommerce] Systems <In this section you report on your research. You need to demonstrate to the client that you understand what is meant by the specific concept (CRM, SCM or eCommerce) relating to the case study project you have chosen and the information systems that support it. Remember, this is not just computer systems. You are studying information systems and so this includes data, people and procedures (processes).

Possible headings are: The meaning of [insert specific concept CRM, SCM or eCommerce] <Explain key terms and cite additional references to demonstrate research and illustrate understanding.> Issues and Benefits <Describe in detail the challenges and issues involved when introducing such a system to an organisation (e.g. staff resistance to change). Describe in detail the benefits achieved when introducing such a system to an organisation (e.g. improved customer satisfaction). Current Trends and Examples in insert specific concept CRM, SCM or eCommerce] <If you have found something in your research such as a new trend or an example of the use of your type of system then outline it here.> <Overall this entire section should be about a page.> Recommendations < For any project there are often a range of options. The information provided here should outline the option you recommend. Whatever you recommend must take into consideration the cost versus the benefits. It may be that you recommend a system that is updated overtime. You should clearly indicate how you intend to implement it. Hint: refer to Lecture 10 on systems development System Specifications < We are not expecting detailed computer specifications. The specific systems are often very expensive and complex. But you should be able to relate the things you have found about these systems to the various components of information systems: hardware, software, data, people and procedures. Focus on the last three key components that distinguish information systems from computing; people, procedures and data. Ask questions such as: People What sort of things will need to be done to include people who use the system? We are not talking about customers but people in the business. Procedures
  • 8. 8/8 What changes will be necessary to current processes (or procedures) to ensure that the system will be successful? Data What sorts of data will be collected and how will this be done? Conclusion < Summarise the main points from your report> Reference List < Include a Harvard format reference list containing every reference cited in the body of your report.
