The government has announced the extension of Covid 19 lockdown till 3rd May. For some of you this would mean staying away from your place of operation (manufacturing plants, office complex, mall buildings etc.) and not being able to maintain direct physical supervision over the safety and security of your premises.
Here is a list of key precautions that you should take in times of “physical distancing¹ to keep your premises safe.

Ensure all Fire pump valves
are fully operational and
locked in automatic mode
position with pressurized
pipelines.
All detection and
specialized protection
systems such as Server
room flooding systems
should be maintained in
automatic operational
condition.

and other portable devices should be kept at the gate office /
security room.
4. Check if power can be isolated across site except for critical
equipments and fire protection systems
Warehouse storages (except Reefer) can be kept non-
electrified and visual checks through external mounted
indicative lamp switches should be done
Ensure remote monitoring of critical server rooms

5. Ensure all oily wastes are collected and disposed from site / stored
in special containers and kept far away from any building and / or
equipment

continuing operations of all flammable vapour collection and
exhaust systems

All critical plans, drawings,
blueprints, data, licenses, legal
papers, lease deeds and the like
should be backed up. If possible the
stamps and hard copies should be
stored off site
Ensure all Insurance covers are
timely renewed with no gaps and
copies of Insurance documents are
easily available
Any SOP changes / revisions should
be duly signed off

mode. Re-map plan based on
resource availability and update all
key contacts and ensure these are
available across locations .
Keep your customers, vendors,
contractors and other
stakeholders informed
Stay updated on external changes
as related to local authorities,
supply chain routes etc
