How to Be A Good Student Essay
How to Be A Good Student
To become a success in life, we all need to learn to become a good student in every aspect of life. Becoming a good student takes much work and
self–discipline. There are many ways that a student can stand out from the rest of the class. These good students are distinguished by their attitude,
intellectual skills, consciousness, and achievement.
Attitude is primarily a genuine desire to learn and the will to do hard academic work to achieve understanding. It is also shown by how well you
apply yourself even to subjects in which you have little interest and how much you can achieve even when a teacher's style is not what you are
used to. Also attitude can change the way you percieveperceive things...show more content...
No one else can help you to attain a good attitude, you must decide and make it a goal to have a good attitude in your student life. (CS)
Intellectual skills is (S–V Agr) another important aspect of becoming a good student. This skill includes the ability to read and understand,
intelligent use of resources, mathematical and logical skills, efficient study habits, and the ability to communicate clearly and fluently. Intellectual
skills include time management, exam strategies, study strategies, and goal setting.
Consciousness, or awareness, is another helpful aspect of becoming a good student. The good student must be aware of their (agr) surroundings
and know what is going on in the world around them. We must strive to relate what is happening around us to what we are learning. This should
be important to us because we should care about what is going on politically, academically, socially, and spiritually. Being aware and paying
attention is a good trait to continually learn and apply.
Achievement is demonstrated by successful application of understanding. This aspect includes using correct and confident knowledge, effective
communication, and continuanceing of education through out your life. Achievement gives you a sense of accomplishment and meaning. To
become a good student, this must be a goal that you wish to accomplish.
Becoming a good student can be time consuming but well worth

Example Essay
My Core Values
As I have grown as an adult and moved further towards success in my life, I have always maintained a guided structure to achieve goals and
tasks that challenge me. I call these my "Core Values". This is a strict regimen or a belief system that I have instilled into my everyday practice
to complete any task that presents itself. Although not perfected, I have found this method to be quite successful. My work ethic, responsibility,
and my drive to further my education and knowledge have never failed me. Life can seem tough and demanding on a very consistent basis, but I
believe that I have cultivated a plan to accommodate and withstand any trial
The first...show more content...
To build responsibility as a child I volunteered to take care of my family dog. Even though she was the family's pet I took it upon myself to make
sure she was properly fed, watered, and walked. My mother was very proud of my new development as an adolescent. She became very
encouraging and would come up with other special chores around the house that I could be relied upon to handle. To some children this
would seem like a punishment, but both of my parents were so supportive and persuasive that I looked forward to having the gained
accountability. My father instituted honesty and respect as monuments for responsibility. I of course struggled at times with taking care of
my dog, and handling some of my other chores. But my father always wanted me to not only be honest with my parents, but also with myself.
He stated that a lie would not benefit anybody and it was disrespectful to tell a lie. He would tell me that a liar was the same as a cheater, and
nobody liked either. If I knew how to respect others and be honest, than my responsibility would only increase. I asked why I would want
added responsibility and my father told me two things that changed my perspective completely. First, it was that responsible people always
tended to be more successful. Since I had always dreamed of growing up to be rich and famous, I guess I could accept the added responsibility.
The second thing he told me was that one day I could possibly

Essay about How To Be A Good Employee
Being a good employee is essential in today's world, especially in these tough economic times when there are many seeking work.
Consequently, it is important to keep in mind that no employee is irreplaceable. While hearing many complain these days about his or her
job, one just needs to look around and be thankful that they have the means in which to survive and are able to work. There are many who are
not only unemployed, but also unable to perform due to illness or a disability. Sometimes when a person is feeling in a mood to complain, they
may need to sit back, relax and take a look around in order to appreciate what they have, and learn how to be a good employee.
Being a good employee means caring about your job and your company. In...show more content...
Staying to finish the job or at least reach a stopping point will not be that much of a delay. If it is impossible to stay later, then you should plan
your day more effectively
Do not call in sick unless you are, or take for granted that you can call in a vacation day spontaneously. Vacations and personal time should be
scheduled. When you are out, your job is delegated to others, and having to take on unexpected responsibilities without being prepared can affect
production or productivity, as well cause stress and conflict among others.
Be that employee who, when someone asks you to do something, will feel confident that the job will be done, and done right, without a doubt.
Dependability goes a long way in the workforce, and having the reputation of being the employee that everyone can count on is a compliment.
*Be respectful
This means to respect others as you would want them to respect you. If you ask someone for help and they concur, do not steal the credit for
their work. On the other hand, if what they helped you with is unintentionally wrong, do not blame them or yell at them, as they were only trying
to help you out. Never cut someone else down in front of others, yell at them or point out their bad qualities.
Do not gossip, or fall in to the trap of one who does. Gossip can destroy a person and ruin their career, and is something that is easy to fall in to.
*Use time wisely
Plan your day, have an agenda of things to

Grit Essay Examples
Grit is a predictor of academic, professional, and personal success. Grit can be defined as strength of character or the ability to overcome
failure and continue to work toward success. People with grit are not always the people with the most natural ability, but their work ethic and
ability to overcome obstacles allows them to achieve success. Grit is a very valuable characteristic in almost any venture, as it gives someone an
advantage in overcoming the inevitable obstacles they will face. However, grit is much easier adopted when an individual has a growth mindset.
The first step to obtaining grit is to correlate both self–control and self–confidence when trying to reach an objective. By doing this, one can focus

I had no experience as a runner nor did I have the form. This did not phase me however. That year I promised myself to push through all the
six mile runs, sore legs, gnarly blisters, and at times, lack of oxygen. At every meet and speed workout practice I pushed myself further and
further. I set a goal every time I kicked off from the starting line and never let myself get discouraged when I failed. By my senior year, I was
the fourth fastest runner on varsity. That year our varsity team won the district meet, which qualified us to run in the 2016 state meet in
Oregon. The transformation over the years were evident. My determination to accomplish my goal of becoming a faster runner was complete.
If I had simply just given up that first day of practice, I wouldn't have ran along side of the fastest runners in Oregon or have met the multitude
of people that are now my closest friends. Having a goal sets one up for a challenge, whether it being physically or mentally, goals keep us active
and thinking in more ways than one. Still, if someone has self–control, confidence, and a goal, they are still not complete. Growth mindset is the
cone to an ice cream. It is the foundation of what I think a successful person is. Without it one couldn't use the characteristics mentioned above in
more ways than one. Someone with a growth mindset believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work,
brains and talent are just the starting point.

School Improvement Essay
School improvement is transformation. It is one of the most important actions of a school. It is a process that schools must use with fidelity to
ensure that at all students are given the opportunity to perform and achieve at exemplary levels. School improvement is vital to schools and it is
a process that cannot be done in isolation. It requires team work, collaboration, and constant analysis of data and setting of goals. School
improvement goals focus on how to meet the needs of students. Addressing the educational needs, funding, and achievement gaps between
subgroups is collaborative effort involves everyone that has a vested interest in the schools. These basic measures set the foundation for
improvement. And so, if it is the...show more content...
This is the most difficult step for schools, however, when working together, with urgency and a mindset to improve, total transformation will
occur. As we review and synthesize data of a district for planning school improvement, the following information is needed to access and
determine the needs of a school. First, a thorough analysis of performance data must be reviewed to see how school districts measure up with state
and federal accountability. During this process, it is very important that schools focus the performance indicators that will guarantee growth and
success. School teams must refer to the districts mission and vision to guide the planning process. The performance indicators will provide data
that will be beneficial in creating improvement strategies. So, after careful evaluation of the data, the next step would be to plan effective methods
and strategies that will improve student achievement. Moreover, this plan should include needs, demographics and opportunities for students to
be successful. Additionally, the baseline data is important information to include in the improvement plan.
Data is always the best resource for trying to improve student achievement. The data will help guide continuous improvement of a plan. There are
four types of data that will be beneficial to any team during the planning phase of the school improvement process.
Demographics data, achievement data, perception

The art of writing is a complex and difficult process. Proper writing requires careful planning, revision, and proofreading. Throughout the past
semester, the quality of my writing has evolved significantly. At first, I struggled with the separation of different types of paragraphs, and I found
writing them laborious. Constant practice, however, has eliminated many of my original difficulties, and helped to inspire confidence in my
skills. As a collegiate writer, my strength lies in my clear understanding of the fundamentals of writing, while my primary weakness is
proofreading my own work. During the transition from a high school writer to a collegiate writer, my strength at understanding the basic

Finding an introductory paragraph that hooks the reader can be troublesome, but throughout the course, I have spent considerable time
developing that technique. The body of my arguments each exhibit strong support for the thesis. In addition, my conclusions summarize the
papers without restating unnecessary information. Overall, my comprehension of the basic format of an argument has proved to be a
valuable asset. The weakest portion of my writing is my lack of good proofreading. All papers require a significant amount of proofreading
not only for grammatical errors, but also for structural problems. Proofreading my own work is difficult. Many times, I wrongly assume that
the reader is able to understand my thoughts, while the various points of my argument are actually not expressed clearly. In some instances, I
fail to catch obvious errors, such as sentence fragments or contractions, which I should be able to eliminate easily from my writing.
Proofreading my own work has consistently been the most difficult part of my writing process, and I continue to struggle with catching all of
the errors in my papers. Analyzing my strengths and weaknesses as a writer is extremely important. Despite the fact that I understand the
structure of a good argument, I still miss obvious errors in my papers because I lack the skills necessary to properly proofread my own work. In
the future, I plan on spending a large portion of my time

Good Writing Good Or Bad
You know good writing when you see it. It isn't that hard to tell whether a piece of writing is good or bad. You just have to read it. But things
get more challenging if you have to explain why it's good. Even harder than that is analyzing the good things a writer is doing so you can learn
to use his or her techniques in your own work. And teaching others how to use them is the hardest of all but that, of course, is exactly what we
need to be able to do.
Having simple phrases to describe the good things writers do makes learning about those things easier. Good writing has:
Idea that is interesting and important.Ideas are the heart of the piece –– what the writer is writing about and the information he or she chooses to
write about it.

What Makes Good Writing? Essay
This for me was a very hard question to answer due to the fact that its an opinion, and there are very many types of writing. Different structures,
ideas, metaphors, and concepts. You have to remember to ask, whether the writing in itself is good in my point of view or not, has to answer to
my specific guidelines which in your case might not be the same. The first and foremost of the many guidelines is how the author set's up the
introductory sentence or better yet, the hook. If the author for example, is writing a cook–book, his first sentence should be appealing to the sense
of taste. For example, If you are writing on how to bake a chocolate cake, you can sound appealing by saying, it will almost feel like you added a
hint of heaven...show more content...
Obviously the reader wont stay keyed in if you aren't, but I'm talking about making sense in a way where the reader can relate to you. Give an
example of a situation that most people go through in everyday life. The main idea that authors need to keep with them is the power of the
authors words relays only upon the reader.
Another huge element in good writing is production. You can be interesting, you can sound great, but if your story is just not headed anywhere
the reader will eventually lose focus and move on. Even if you have many details surrounding your story, try to focus in on the ones that play
key roles. A lot of readers talk about how something happened more then why. I like to hear the reasons for why rather then for how because if
you already know the climax of the story you really wouldn't wanna track your steps back, though informing the reader why can actually spice
things up.
The biggest factor that plays in good writing in my opinion is how much emotion the writer puts into his or her work. Honestly, a good reader
will be able to tell how much effort was put into a writing from the first couple of sentences. If the reader gets a sense of the writing trying to
force words into a sentence or trying to stretch out a page you will lose your reader right then and there. If you honestly believe in what you are
writing and have interest in the subject matter the reader will be able to read between the lines and actually have a feeling of being there,

Essay on Goal Setting
Goal Setting In the first article that I found It stated that Goal Setting is a formal process for personal planning, and is a form of motivation. It
is used for a target that a person works for so they can be successful. The process of goal setting is used by many people throughout the world that
are trying to and have already achieved something in their lifetime.
Setting goals helps a person remain focused on being successful, stay away from distractions, and will help with motivation. There are two types of
goal setting:
Long–term, and Short–term goals. Short–term goals are smaller goals that are "easier" to achieve, and will keep the person motivated and
continue to strive for success. They also are goals that lead up to...show more content...
Also, after achieving a goal, you must look back and ask yourself if the goal was too easy for you to achieve, if you learned something while
trying to achieve the goal, and if you need to fix any of your "skills" in trying to achieve your goal.
If you do not achieve your goals, then this does not mean that you are a failure as long as you learn something from your mistakes. You must find
where you made your mistakes and then fix them.
Some of the Key Points for goal setting is Deciding what is important for you to achieve in your life, separating what is important from what is
irrelevant, motivating yourself to achievement, and building your self–confidence based on measured achievement of goals.
In the second article that I found, it stated that Goal Setting is a very powerful technique that can yield strong returns in all areas of your life.
Setting goals allows you to decide what you want to do with your life.
This article reiterates the previous article and states "Goal Setting Helps
Self–confidence". "By setting goals, and measuring their achievement, you are able to see what you have done and what you are capable of. The
process of achieving goals and seeing their achievement gives you the confidence and self–belief that you need that you will be able to achieve
higher and more difficult goals".
Some of the key points that this article stresses for setting goals is that you can achieve more, improve

What makes a good teacher? Essay
In my opinion, a good teacher should be one who puts her heart into teaching. This is because only by doing so will the students feel their
passion and hard work. When a teacher strives hard for the students, students will put in their effort as well. If a teacher dislikes her job, goes to
classes in a bad mood, her teaching would also be affected and students would not be able to enjoy lessons as well.
Another point that makes a good teacher would be his/her patience. Teachers should not get upset or even worse, give up on the students who are
not so strong in their studies. Instead, they should have the patience to slowly coach them, give them extra lessons, and find different ways to
encourage them. Let them know that the teacher...show more content...

I was once a problematic kid who mixed with bad company and flunk tests. I never thought about what I was going to do the next day, what

My Writing Experiences My experiences in writing have been minimal. I have only learned the basics of writing, like putting together

The Importance Of Writing
I love writing as much as I can. It allows me the freedom to be someone else. It gives my imagination the freedom to be wide open. When I

my own ideas and thoughts, so as to not plagiarize anyone's work. Writing is and should be a free–thinking love. Most writings are going to have a
beginning, middle, and end. I like to have all three portions of a story because it gives you details you need, to stay interested. You should be

Editing will require you to change grammar or punctuation, to give your story a better flow. When you edit, it will be after your first draft is
already done. I would make sure to check all of your facts and sources before finalizing your paper. Writing is a form of art that uses more of
your brain. Writing requires you to think and feel, and you put it into words. When you write formal or informal, it is best to know which one
serves the purpose best. Short sentences are clear and easy to understand. Practicing how to write will prove to be beneficial, to the writer you will
become. The more writing you do, the more you will find out what you need to learn. When I write, I like to write about things that interest me.
Keeping your sights on writing something small, will help you enlarge your knowledge of writing.
Plagiarism is easy for people who don't want to be original. When you copy someone's work, you are giving up your rights to free speech. You
are claiming their work to be yours, therefore you are not giving credit to them. In my opinion, that is not a fair practice I want to be doing.
Giving my brain the freedom to come up with ideas and thoughts that are original, that is wonderful! Writing can make people understand who
you are, and what you are trying to say. Be sure not lose yourself in what you write, always stay true to yourself. Who cares if people don't like
what you write, you wrote what you felt, and

Personal Essay : My Personal Qualities
My Personal Qualities
Over the course, I have learned that all people are unique and have their own personal traits and qualities. One person does not just simply fall
into one category, but various categories. What is beautiful about all of us is that we all have diverse personalities, traits and qualities. I have
learned that we should be proud of and embrace these unique qualities of ours.
As a perfectionist, I like to present my things beautifully and creatively, and it is clearly seen on my collage. I appreciate beautiful things and

pretty mind, a pretty heart, and most importantly, a beautiful soul". I chose to use this quote because I adore it and I go by it. What matters most
is in the inside, not on the outside. I think people sometimes, even me, get too caught up and try too hard to look beautiful, but they don't focus on
personality.
A) I expected to get artistic, creative and investigative as my results on surveys that I took, because I already knew I had these traits as a part of

my learning style, and I got both auditory and visual learner. The results have their little differences, but that shows people do change over time.
Learning styles can be learned and strengthened.
I learned plenty of things from my results. My values–which I didn't see clearly–are now clear, and I found out the little unique things that make

Essay about Making Good Choices.
Making Good Choices
By: Keria Owens
Making choices can affect any and everything in your life whether it's dealing with your family or just everyday situations. Everyone in life
is faced with good and bad choices that can either have a good outcome on your life or it can make a turn for the worst. Yes, everyone wants
to make good choices in life. But does that always happen? Nine times out of ten know. Recently, I made a bad choice that affected my life in
numerous ways for instance when I got caught shoplifting my parents looked down on me as if I was this thief. I'm very embarrassed of my

Often times it can be difficult if not impossible to make what you think at that moment will be the right choice. One of the biggest factors that
will hold people back is that to too often than not we are not completely clear on what type of result or outcome we want from a situation.
Think about it, if you don't really know what kind of result you want it is going to be pretty hard to know what choice is going to be the right
one. So what do you do? You get a clear understanding, before you make any choice. Think about its effects in the longterm, and short term.
Knowing exactly what you want is very powerful. We have all heard the golden rule; do onto others as you would have them do onto you.
This is probably one of the most important ideas to keep in mind when making good choices. When we are young a lot of us develop this me,
me, me, attitude. We want all the toys, and we don't want to share. Now this mentality may get us a lot of toys, but it defiantly doesn't help
you make friends. In this day and age a large part of personal success is based on working with others to achieve our goals. If we can help
others get what they want, it will be much easier and they will be much more willing to help us get what we want. So when making any choice it
is always ideal to think about how can I

Minecraft is a game where the player uses their imagination to shape the world around them using the resources they find. In the world
everything is shaped like a block or a cube, this includes the trees, the dirt, the water, the clouds, even the sun, everything. This simple game

and published comic strips about minecraft, leading to even further sales. Minecraft makes $250,000 a day and continues to do so. On June

Jakob Porser, Carl Manneh, Tobias Mollstam, Aron Neiminen, Daniel Frisk, and Daniel Rosenfeld. These few people make up the team that
continues to work towards Minecraft's future. But with so few employees things take time. Even though the game has not been officially

target of some heavy criticism from blogs, critics, and even their own fans. One speculation from fans is that Minecraft will be the company's 1

with Minecraft, not even in the same genre. What if nobody likes the game? What

Good Parenting Essay
Good Parenting
What makes a good parent? People have always tired to find out the answer, because what makes a good parent makes a good family and what
makes a good family makes a good society and finally what makes a good society makes the world we live in a good one. Actually it is family
where all the social ills come from. It is family that predetermines what kind of society we will have tomorrow, because the society of tomorrow
will be born to and moulded in the family of today. So if we want to find out what makes a good parent and try to change the society we'll be
living in we've got to start right now. So let's start.
What makes a good parent? Many people think that it is impossible to answer this question, because what...show more content...
But as soon as children start feeling that their parents care too much, they try to get back at them and do just what their parents don't want them
to do. On the other hand kids who face lack of freedom may end up turning into introverts afraid to speak to other people or not as social (which
is not a bad thing though).
I believe that next thing any parent must not forget about is trust. Being consistent with your child is of paramount importance because that's how
trust is supported. Being consistent is not changing the rules half way through the game. Being consistent is not promising rewards that kids will
never see. Being consistent is not threatening punishment without carrying it through. From the very first day on Earth children put trust in their
parents and it must not be betrayed because once it is, once children find out they have been lied to, you will have to literally put yourself out to
win it back.
Communication. Being able to communicate well builds confidence and charisma. Parents should not be afraid to talk to their children. They
should not jump down through their throat when they are curious about something either no matter how stupid it may seem. Parents should be
able to look at everyday things and events through the eyes of their children who are new in this world and have little knowledge of it. Everyday
experiences can give children a wonderful chance to explore and learn and it must not be taken from them by their

Saying Goodbye Essay
I never thought this day would come. I mean, I did know it was coming, but I just never thought it would be this soon. Since birth, Lina has
been my older sister, my companion, my confidant, and moreover, my best friend. As years passed, I acknowledged that we were getting
older, and that the date of her departure was getting closer, yet, I did not want to believe it. Since last year, she had been in the exhausting
process of applying to universities, and by the end of May, the University of New Orleans (UNO) granted her with a generous scholarship. With
a smile full of pride and amazement, she accepted the scholarship and reserved her space in the Psychology field in the UNO. Overshadowed by
the great news of her scholarship, we failed to...show more content...
Suddenly, she stood up and a warm smile lightened her face. Her eyes shone with excitement as her three best friends approached her. They
talked and laughed zealously; they joked as if they had forgotten what was about to happen in less than an hour. I could not help myself from
watching her. Her smile was genuine and her sight deep. Her voice was melodic while she recounted all the anecdotes the four girls had
shared for six long years. She moved her hands while she talked and showed her perfectly white teeth while she laughed. There was no fear in
her face, just a spark of adventure glistened at the corner of her eyes. She was about to undertake a journey to the small state of Louisiana, to
the beautiful jazz city of New Orleans, and even at the verge of starting a new life on her own, she showed no signs of anxiety or uneasiness.
There were so many reasons why not to cry: she was happy, she was young, she had a great opportunity to study abroad, something not
everyone has, and many more that would take me a whole day to mention. However, I only needed one reason why to cry: I would no longer
have her by my side. As a tremendous storm, an urge of crying overwhelmed me, and all I could do was to sit down, hide my face in my hands
and let my emotions overpower me. She looked at me and frowned. I knew it hurt her to see me that way, but I couldn't stop. She came near me
and hugged me, without saying a word. What

Essay about Running
Running is very good for humans in many different ways. It is a great way to get exercise, and a great way to meet new people. There are many
positives, and some negatives, it is easy, enjoyable and makes humans more social, you can do it at anytime, and it relieves stress rather than give
stress. Although there are some negatives with running, there are also many positives. Many people run because of the health reasons. It is good
for the heart and lungs and people run in the fresh air. Running outside rather than inside is good for you too because of the fresh air. Running also
relieves tension, by running, people can think about their problems without having to worry about anyone hearing them. They can think about

running because some are doing it to lose weight and some do not lose weight. People can also "hit the wall" when running which happens
when a person overdoes their exercise and can be physically harmed. Although there are some negatives, there are more positives to running.
Running is easy, enjoyable and is very social. Many people see running as a good place to meet new people and enjoyable to do, it is also one of
the easiest ways to exercise. Running can be very fun, it is easy because you need no experience to run. Training for races is also fun it can
be done by men and women, girls and boys at any age. You can meet new people who can be very social able, you can meet new people by
either running by yourself or with a friend or spouse. People of all sizes and races and ages can run it is a great way to meet new people and a
great way to exercise. Running is a great way to exercise and you could do it anytime and anywhere. People can run either on streets or on
paths, but paths are a bit more ideal. Running is more ideal to do on hard surfaces, but is better exercise if you do it on uneven ground. You can
run too fast and you can run too far but whether you run fast or far you are still running and are still getting exercise. To prevent getting hurt while

Step 1 – Choose a Good Topic
When writing an essay, it is important to choose a topic that is not too broad. For example, do not write about football. Choose something more
specific, like football drills, the greatest football team, football equipment, football practice, etc.
It is important that you can think of three main ideas that...show more content...

It is important to write a rough draft to share with a friend or parent to edit. When editing, ask someone to check that you stayed on topic and used
proper writing conventions, such as good spelling, usage, mechanics and grammar.
Last, you want to write a final copy. This should be error free. It can be written in pen or typed. Most teachers like a typed copy; however, neatly
written essays in pen are acceptable as well. Teachers generally grade an essay on the following criteria: interesting content, organization and
writing conventions.
Writing a good five paragraph essay can take some time. Do not wait until the last minute and make sure to have someone edit it before you turn
in the final copy to your teacher.

How to Write an Argumentative Essay Step by Step
Argumentative essays intimidate lots of students because of the structure an instructor expects. Instructors will expect well–written,
tightly–argued essays, but that doesn't mean the paper needs to be twenty pages long or should refer to a dozen or more sources. What it does
mean, however, is that a student takes a stand on an issue, presents his side of the argument while refuting his opposition, and also integrates
outside sources that help support his point of view.

How To Be A Good Student Essay

  • 1. How to Be A Good Student Essay How to Be A Good Student To become a success in life, we all need to learn to become a good student in every aspect of life. Becoming a good student takes much work and self–discipline. There are many ways that a student can stand out from the rest of the class. These good students are distinguished by their attitude, intellectual skills, consciousness, and achievement. Attitude is primarily a genuine desire to learn and the will to do hard academic work to achieve understanding. It is also shown by how well you apply yourself even to subjects in which you have little interest and how much you can achieve even when a teacher's style is not what you are used to. Also attitude can change the way you percieveperceive things...show more content... No one else can help you to attain a good attitude, you must decide and make it a goal to have a good attitude in your student life. (CS) Intellectual skills is (S–V Agr) another important aspect of becoming a good student. This skill includes the ability to read and understand, intelligent use of resources, mathematical and logical skills, efficient study habits, and the ability to communicate clearly and fluently. Intellectual skills include time management, exam strategies, study strategies, and goal setting. Consciousness, or awareness, is another helpful aspect of becoming a good student. The good student must be aware of their (agr) surroundings and know what is going on in the world around them. We must strive to relate what is happening around us to what we are learning. This should be important to us because we should care about what is going on politically, academically, socially, and spiritually. Being aware and paying attention is a good trait to continually learn and apply. Achievement is demonstrated by successful application of understanding. This aspect includes using correct and confident knowledge, effective communication, and continuanceing of education through out your life. Achievement gives you a sense of accomplishment and meaning. To become a good student, this must be a goal that you wish to accomplish.

I call these my "Core Values". This is a strict regimen or a belief system that I have instilled into my everyday practice to complete any task that presents itself. Although not perfected, I have found this method to be quite successful. My work ethic, responsibility, and my drive to further my education and knowledge have never failed me. To build responsibility as a child I volunteered to take care of my family dog. Even though she was the family's pet I took it upon myself to make sure she was properly fed, watered, and walked. My mother was very proud of my new development as an adolescent. She became very encouraging and would come up with other special chores around the house that I could be relied upon to handle. To some children this would seem like a punishment, but both of my parents were so supportive and persuasive that I looked forward to having the gained accountability. My father instituted honesty and respect as monuments for responsibility. I of course struggled at times with taking care of my dog, and handling some of my other chores. But my father always wanted me to not only be honest with my parents, but also with myself. He stated that a lie would not benefit anybody and it was disrespectful to tell a lie. He would tell me that a liar was the same as a cheater, and nobody liked either. If I knew how to respect others and be honest, than my responsibility would only increase. I asked why I would want added responsibility and my father told me two things that changed my perspective completely. First, it was that responsible people always tended to be more successful. Since I had always dreamed of growing up to be rich and famous, I guess I could accept the added responsibility. The second thing he told me was that one day I could possibly

Consequently, it is important to keep in mind that no employee is irreplaceable. While hearing many complain these days about his or her job, one just needs to look around and be thankful that they have the means in which to survive and are able to work. There are many who are not only unemployed, but also unable to perform due to illness or a disability. Sometimes when a person is feeling in a mood to complain, they may need to sit back, relax and take a look around in order to appreciate what they have, and learn how to be a good employee. If it is impossible to stay later, then you should plan your day more effectively Do not call in sick unless you are, or take for granted that you can call in a vacation day spontaneously. Vacations and personal time should be scheduled. When you are out, your job is delegated to others, and having to take on unexpected responsibilities without being prepared can affect production or productivity, as well cause stress and conflict among others. Be that employee who, when someone asks you to do something, will feel confident that the job will be done, and done right, without a doubt. Dependability goes a long way in the workforce, and having the reputation of being the employee that everyone can count on is a compliment. *Be respectful This means to respect others as you would want them to respect you. If you ask someone for help and they concur, do not steal the credit for their work. On the other hand, if what they helped you with is unintentionally wrong, do not blame them or yell at them, as they were only trying to help you out. Never cut someone else down in front of others, yell at them or point out their bad qualities. Do not gossip, or fall in to the trap of one who does. Grit can be defined as strength of character or the ability to overcome failure and continue to work toward success. People with grit are not always the people with the most natural ability, but their work ethic and ability to overcome obstacles allows them to achieve success. Grit is a very valuable characteristic in almost any venture, as it gives someone an advantage in overcoming the inevitable obstacles they will face. However, grit is much easier adopted when an individual has a growth mindset. The first step to obtaining grit is to correlate both self–control and self–confidence when trying to reach an objective. That year I promised myself to push through all the six mile runs, sore legs, gnarly blisters, and at times, lack of oxygen. At every meet and speed workout practice I pushed myself further and further. I set a goal every time I kicked off from the starting line and never let myself get discouraged when I failed. By my senior year, I was the fourth fastest runner on varsity. That year our varsity team won the district meet, which qualified us to run in the 2016 state meet in Oregon. The transformation over the years were evident. My determination to accomplish my goal of becoming a faster runner was complete. If I had simply just given up that first day of practice, I wouldn't have ran along side of the fastest runners in Oregon or have met the multitude of people that are now my closest friends. Having a goal sets one up for a challenge, whether it being physically or mentally, goals keep us active and thinking in more ways than one. Still, if someone has self–control, confidence, and a goal, they are still not complete. Growth mindset is the cone to an ice cream. It is the foundation of what I think a successful person is. Without it one couldn't use the characteristics mentioned above in more ways than one. Someone with a growth mindset believe that their most basic abilities can be developed through dedication and hard work, brains and talent are just the starting point. First, a thorough analysis of performance data must be reviewed to see how school districts measure up with state and federal accountability. During this process, it is very important that schools focus the performance indicators that will guarantee growth and success. School teams must refer to the districts mission and vision to guide the planning process. The performance indicators will provide data that will be beneficial in creating improvement strategies. Overall, my comprehension of the basic format of an argument has proved to be a valuable asset. The weakest portion of my writing is my lack of good proofreading. All papers require a significant amount of proofreading not only for grammatical errors, but also for structural problems. Proofreading my own work is difficult. Many times, I wrongly assume that the reader is able to understand my thoughts, while the various points of my argument are actually not expressed clearly. In some instances, I fail to catch obvious errors, such as sentence fragments or contractions, which I should be able to eliminate easily from my writing. Proofreading my own work has consistently been the most difficult part of my writing process, and I continue to struggle with catching all of the errors in my papers. Analyzing my strengths and weaknesses as a writer is extremely important. Despite the fact that I understand the structure of a good argument, I still miss obvious errors in my papers because I lack the skills necessary to properly proofread my own work. In the future, I plan on spending a large portion of my time Get more content on HelpWriting.net

But things get more challenging if you have to explain why it's good. Even harder than that is analyzing the good things a writer is doing so you can learn to use his or her techniques in your own work. And teaching others how to use them is the hardest of all but that, of course, is exactly what we need to be able to do. • 12. What Makes Good Writing? Essay This for me was a very hard question to answer due to the fact that its an opinion, and there are very many types of writing. Different structures, ideas, metaphors, and concepts. You have to remember to ask, whether the writing in itself is good in my point of view or not, has to answer to my specific guidelines which in your case might not be the same. The first and foremost of the many guidelines is how the author set's up the introductory sentence or better yet, the hook. If the author for example, is writing a cook–book, his first sentence should be appealing to the sense of taste. For example, If you are writing on how to bake a chocolate cake, you can sound appealing by saying, it will almost feel like you added a hint of heaven...show more content... Obviously the reader wont stay keyed in if you aren't, but I'm talking about making sense in a way where the reader can relate to you. Give an example of a situation that most people go through in everyday life. The main idea that authors need to keep with them is the power of the authors words relays only upon the reader. Another huge element in good writing is production. You can be interesting, you can sound great, but if your story is just not headed anywhere the reader will eventually lose focus and move on. Even if you have many details surrounding your story, try to focus in on the ones that play key roles. A lot of readers talk about how something happened more then why. I like to hear the reasons for why rather then for how because if you already know the climax of the story you really wouldn't wanna track your steps back, though informing the reader why can actually spice things up. The biggest factor that plays in good writing in my opinion is how much emotion the writer puts into his or her work. Honestly, a good reader will be able to tell how much effort was put into a writing from the first couple of sentences. If the reader gets a sense of the writing trying to force words into a sentence or trying to stretch out a page you will lose your reader right then and there. If you honestly believe in what you are writing and have interest in the subject matter the reader will be able to read between the lines and actually have a feeling of being there, Get more content on HelpWriting.net
  • 13. Essay on Goal Setting Goal Setting In the first article that I found It stated that Goal Setting is a formal process for personal planning, and is a form of motivation. It is used for a target that a person works for so they can be successful. The process of goal setting is used by many people throughout the world that are trying to and have already achieved something in their lifetime. Setting goals helps a person remain focused on being successful, stay away from distractions, and will help with motivation. There are two types of goal setting: Long–term, and Short–term goals. Some of the Key Points for goal setting is Deciding what is important for you to achieve in your life, separating what is important from what is irrelevant, motivating yourself to achievement, and building your self–confidence based on measured achievement of goals. In the second article that I found, it stated that Goal Setting is a very powerful technique that can yield strong returns in all areas of your life. Setting goals allows you to decide what you want to do with your life. This article reiterates the previous article and states "Goal Setting Helps Self–confidence". This is because only by doing so will the students feel their passion and hard work. When a teacher strives hard for the students, students will put in their effort as well. If a teacher dislikes her job, goes to classes in a bad mood, her teaching would also be affected and students would not be able to enjoy lessons as well. Another point that makes a good teacher would be his/her patience. Teachers should not get upset or even worse, give up on the students who are not so strong in their studies. Making Good Choices By: Keria Owens Making choices can affect any and everything in your life whether it's dealing with your family or just everyday situations. Everyone in life is faced with good and bad choices that can either have a good outcome on your life or it can make a turn for the worst. Yes, everyone wants to make good choices in life. But does that always happen? Nine times out of ten know. Recently, I made a bad choice that affected my life in numerous ways for instance when I got caught shoplifting my parents looked down on me as if I was this thief. Often times it can be difficult if not impossible to make what you think at that moment will be the right choice. One of the biggest factors that will hold people back is that to too often than not we are not completely clear on what type of result or outcome we want from a situation. Think about it, if you don't really know what kind of result you want it is going to be pretty hard to know what choice is going to be the right one. When we are young a lot of us develop this me, me, me, attitude. We want all the toys, and we don't want to share. Now this mentality may get us a lot of toys, but it defiantly doesn't help you make friends. In this day and age a large part of personal success is based on working with others to achieve our goals. If we can help others get what they want, it will be much easier and they will be much more willing to help us get what we want. So when making any choice it is always ideal to think about how can I Get more content on HelpWriting.net

Minecraft makes $250,000 a day and continues to do so. On June 13, 2011, Minecraft passed 2.5 million sales. Today Mojang has 10 employees. Markus Persson, Jens Bergensten, Daniel Kaplan, Junkboy, Jakob Porser, Carl Manneh, Tobias Mollstam, Aron Neiminen, Daniel Frisk, and Daniel Rosenfeld. With such success Mojang is the target of some heavy criticism from blogs, critics, and even their own fans. One speculation from fans is that Minecraft will be the company's 1 hit wonder. What happens if it truly is a one hit wonder? Will the company go down under? Will it be the end of Mojang? Will they join a publisher in order to stay afloat and lose their title of "indie?" On the other hand kids who face lack of freedom may end up turning into introverts afraid to speak to other people or not as social (which is not a bad thing though). I believe that next thing any parent must not forget about is trust. Being consistent with your child is of paramount importance because that's how trust is supported. Being consistent is not changing the rules half way through the game. Being consistent is not promising rewards that kids will never see. Being consistent is not threatening punishment without carrying it through. From the very first day on Earth children put trust in their parents and it must not be betrayed because once it is, once children find out they have been lied to, you will have to literally put yourself out to win it back. Communication. Being able to communicate well builds confidence and charisma. Parents should not be afraid to talk to their children. They should not jump down through their throat when they are curious about something either no matter how stupid it may seem. Parents should be able to look at everyday things and events through the eyes of their children who are new in this world and have little knowledge of it. Everyday experiences can give children a wonderful chance to explore and learn and it must not be taken from them by their
