Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to enthusiastically endorse Olivia Johansson for her work as an intern at
FlickerLab from March 1 to June 3, 2016.
Olivia worked on a wide range of projects while here, including:
• Animatic editing in Adobe Premiere, Flash animation, and sound design on a high
profile anti-death penalty animation to be released in July of this year.
• Flash animation, animatic editing, sound design on two episodes of our animated
series “How the Body Works,” produced for KidsHealth.org, which will be viewed many
millions of times by students and kids here in the US and around the world.
• Using Flash, After Effects, and Adobe Premiere to extract and rebuild in HD as
stand-alone episodes a series of climate cartoons we created for Danish Television in
the run up to the Copenhagen Climate Summit. We will be releasing this as a digital
series later this year.
• Music editing on a short for Sesame Workshop’s YouTube channel
• Any and everything else we threw at her.
Olivia was a true professional, showing up every day eager to dive into work, full of
energy and ideas. She is an eager and capable learner, picking up new skills rapidly.
Her creative instincts are also very strong. And she takes feedback eagerly. We wish
Olivia lived here so we could keep on working with her.
Olivia also took full advantage of being in New York, constantly soaking up all the
culture she could cram into three months.
I expect Olivia to achieve great things in her career, and hope to have the chance to
work with her again.
