I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Dr.Okan Tansu.
I have known Dr. Tansu since many years not only at professional but also at
personal level. From early 2000’s, I have worked with Dr. Tansu at Istanbul Bilgi
University on different projects, duties and levels. During this time, he was a
member of the Faculty of Communication, and at different opportunities we
worked together very closely.
I can assure by all Dr.Tansu’s professional time at our institution that he is a very
goal oriented, punctual, yet easygoing person. During this time he was keenly
devoted to his work, but being a real people person, he was also enjoyable to be
around.
During his working period at Istanbul Bilgi University he always made an effort to
become a contributive part of the university community and put himself up as a
candidate for the position of not only a very popular lecturer among the students
with very high evaluations by them but also a very skillful manager and
administrative. Dr. Tansu was always a great employee with impeccable integrity.
He managed to be a very successful Vice Dean for 6 years at the faculty of
Communication, later he created the whole track of Sports and Communication at
the Faculty of Communication. He made from this track a very succesful, famous
and reputable programme with national and international link.

2. He always listened the requests from students and successfully assisted the school's
board in making improvements to the school environment. He has successfully
headed several project teams and shown that he is able to successfully manage and
motivate different personalities under pressure. Dr. Tansu proved many times that
he maintains professional behaviour even under high pressure and in the most
stressful situations. Dr. Tansu is also a very diligent employee and maintains the
highest professional standards in his work. He delivers high-quality results and sets
an example for his colleagues. As an experienced practitioner, Dr. Tansu managed
not only the usual day-to-day tasks, but also handled exceptional situations with
great ease and professionalism. Dr. Tansu approaches problems from different
angles and often comes up with creative solutions. I know him as a very clever
employee with a lot of creative ideas and an open mind for suggestions and
criticism.
Dr. Tansu whenever presented with tricky or intricate problems, he quickly comes
up with great and practical ideas on how to solve them. I know Dr. Tansu as a
flexible and optimistic employee who easily adapts to change and thrives on being
challenged. Having know his ability, 2 years ago, he was assigned as the provisory
head of Fashion Department in order to solve many layered problems it was
struggling with, by his skills and out of the box thinking methods.
Dr. Tansu more than once demonstrated that he has a very good sense of how to
structure and set up a structure to ensure reliable results. He also showed on
numerous occasions that he is a loyal and trustable employee for our instutions.
His impeccable knowledge of English, French, Spanish has been extremely helpful
with our international partners as well as our international students. Dr. Tansu
would be an asset to any employer and I recommend him for any endeavor he
chooses to pursue. Do not hesitate to contact me with any questions about him. We

Finally, I would like to be very clear about why Dr.Tansu is no longer with us.
Dr.Tansu is no longer with us only because family matters necessitated a change.
He was relocated to Hamburg due to family reasons. We hated to see him go, but
understood his situation.
