6. Self Introduction (B)
⚫Participants to introduce yourselves
individually by making three
statements about yourselves.
⚫Two should be true–something the
others do not know--and one a lie.
⚫Have the rest of the team guess
which statement is the lie.

7. Welcome remarks
I am particularly grateful to CATIP-U
for availing me a rare opportunity
to participate in creating a society
free from human trafficking through
building capacities of one of the
critical stakeholders (Board).
The workshop is about getting to
know one another and our team
better.
7
8. Hopefully learn some things you do not know
and perhaps unlearn some things you
believed but that are not true.
I promise a fully packed training programme
punctuated with fun and lots of knowledge.
I appeal to our dear BoDs to be committed
to the training and strive to be open to
acquiring new experiences whilst unlearning
undesirable knowledge, Learn and re-learn
as you plan to set new aspirations.
And also cross learn from the various
experiential wisdom available from the team.
8
9. Please be assured that the
programme will be amenable
to changes to include your
expectations.
I wish you all a fruitful training
expedition.

workshop more successful

Ground Rules
This is a Workshop not a Class Session
► Meaningful Participation is crucial
► YOU will define your Way forward
► My role is to facilitate
I have assumed:
► We are all adults
► For the duration, we are all equal
► Feel free to express your views as well as respect
other views

14. Ground Rules
For the entire Workshop you are urged
to:
► Leave your title at the door
► Everybody is right
► Raise your issues
► Think beyond today’s constraints
► Imagine
► Listen
► Look at the Big Picture

16. Taboos
► That won’t work here
► The donor/CATIP-U Secretariat is always right
► I’ve heard that somebody else tried it and failed
► We are not ready for this
► We’ve tried that before
► This is too risky
► We need more data/time (we always will)
► Management/Staff (CATIP-U Secretariat) will not buy this
► We do not have the experience to decide that
► It might work for them, but we are different
► We need to do more analysis (we always will)

17. Think About this!
The future is not some place we are going to,
but one we are creating. The paths to it are not
found, but made, and the activity of making
them change both the maker and the
destination.
The future is not the result of choices among
alternative paths offered in the present - it is a
place that is created - created first in the mind
and will….created next in the activity.
