Marketing during a time like this can be difficult, but it doesn't have to be!
See how my team and I were able to bring a local business over 400 new leads during a pandemic.
2. The world of
marketing has
changed...
01
Consumer mindset has shifted, which means that
you as a business owner or marketer will have to
shift your mindset too.
People are no longer willing to part ways with large
amounts of money, or do something that would
risk their health. So how can you help your
customers out while helping your business too?
4. How We Achieved This
Relatability to
the Consumer
Being able to stand in
the consumers shoes
and understand their
fears right now is key.
Understanding their
mindset is more crucial
than ever!

Loosening up a
bit
The reality now is that
you cant go "hard" in
marketing. People no
longer want to read
sales pitches, you have
to sell the idea of what
it is you're selling.

Affordability
The harsh reality of
2020 is that not
everyone has a lot of
money to throw
around, its our job as
marketers/business
owners to give
customers great deals
and help out.

6. Stand in your
customers
shoes
Being able to stand in the consumers shoes and
understand their fears right now is key.
People are losing their jobs or receiving less money.
People are worried for their health, and above all,
their biggest concern is just surviving life.
People just want to feel normal again, they don't
need some big corporation chirping in their ears
saying "BUY BUY BUY!"
Understanding their mindset is more crucial than
ever, you need to relate to them and let them know
that you understand what they're going through.
This is one of the biggest key takeaways from our
campaign for this case study.
7. Relatable Posting
As you can see, the content campaign we put out shows relatability,
motivation and is on brand for this company.
Besides text posts like these ones, we also put out images with self-help tips,
ideas, etc.
This shows customers that we're not just about selling, we're about community
and simply being there for them. The idea of content is not to sell, but to show
your customers who you are and that you care.
9. Loosen
Up!
The reality now is that you cant go "hard" in
marketing.
People no longer want to read sales pitches, you
have to sell the "idea" of what it is you're selling.
I can almost guarantee you that if you make your
ads look "full" and "spammy" you wont get any
results (examples on next page)
Go light on your customers, simply hint at your
product/service with some light selling in your ads.
10. Do's/Dont's of Ad Copy
DON'T
Spammy looking ad,
overwhelming, not
relatable at all. Hard
sales pitch
DO
Relatable, easy to read,
easy steps to take, puts
the idea clearly in the
customers mind.
Winning ad Copy
12. Helping Your
Customer
As mentioned before a few times, people are
really trying to save their money right now.
The harsh reality of 2020 is that not everyone
has a lot of money to throw around, its our job
as marketers/business owners to give
customers great deals and help out.
Doing this may lower your current margins,
but I guarantee you that these customers will
become lifetime customers if you help now
13. How Low
Can You
Go?
Take a strong look at your
current profit margins, now
think, how much of that are you
willing to part with to ensure
you beat your competitors, as
well as grow lifetime
relationships with customers?

15. To Conclude...
Relate to Your
Customer
Show your customers
that you're not just
about selling, you're
about community and
simply being there for
them.
The idea of content is
not to sell, but to show
your customers who you
are and that you care.
Loosen Up a Bit
Go light on your
customers, simply hint
at your product/service
with some light selling
in your ads.
Be relatable in your ads
and show that you are
real people as well!
Be Affordable
Taking the hit now and
lowering your profit
margins will help you
bring in more
LIFELONG customers,
as well as beat your
competitors.
Give your customers
the best price
