Major Project Executed:
1. Flying Peacock at Mumbai International Airport
Used Automation Product: Compact Logix 1769-L18ERM-BB1B PLC, PVP7 series HMI, Three
numbers of Kinetix 5500 servo drive with safe torque-off functionality.
Project Detail: It’s an art project in which at the start of every hours peacock flies in defined
coordinated path. Three servo motors are used for Horizontal, Vertical and Swivel axis movement. All
the three axis are in coordination with each other. All the automation products are on Ethernet/IP
network.

2. Antenna Movement Relevant to the Satellite at ISRO, Ahmedabad
Used Automation Product: Compact Logix 1769-L18ERM-BB1B PLC with IO System, PVP7 series HMI
Two numbers of Kinetix 350 servo drive with safe torque-off functionality.
Project Detail: In this project we track the satellites in space by moving Antenna in Azimuth and
Elevation direction. Two servo motors are used for antenna movement in Azimuth direction and
Elevation Direction. All the automation products are on Ethernet/IP network.

3. Thermic Fluid Heater at Raymond Limited, Vapi (SCADA System)
Used Automation Product: Two PLC panel system having Micrologix 1400 PLC with IOs, Common
Industrial PC, Yudian Temperature and pressure controllers, ABB VFDs
Project Detail: 2 no. of PLCs (ML1400) Panel system for two different plant with all controlling and
monitoring of processes are done from Industrial PC. P&IDs were made for both the system for
monitoring and controlling of whole process(includes Start/Stop, Drive Analog Ref mode
Manual/Auto), all the field devices(Showing their Running/Stop/Trip status), all Temperature
controllers (indicating their SV & PV, monitoring for their LL, Low, High & HH alarms).

4. Butter Blister Machine at PWS Engineers, Anand
Used Automation Product: Micrologix1400 PLC system with IO, PVP6 series HMI, power flex-4M
series AC drives, Kinetix K3 servo system.
Project Detail: It’s a typical Blister Machine where Forming, Filling, Sealing and Cutting Operations
are performing in a line. Communication between PLC and HMI is on Ethernet/IP whereas between
PLC and Power flex 4M & Kinetix K3 Drive is on Modbus. Function of Servo drive is to pull the same
amount of length of base sheet every time and Power Flex 4M AC Drive is used to rotate the main
shaft of the machine at desired speed.

5. Induction Billet Heating (Inductotherm, Ahmedabad at KTFL, Ranjangaon):
Used Automation Product: CompactLogix L32E PLC, PVP 700 HMI, 3 no of Powerflex 70 AC Drive,
PowerFlex 40 AC Drive. System having approximate 200 number of IOs.
Project Detail: Billet passing through Induction coil, getting heated to desire set temp by the
principle of Eddy current generation. Heated billet were sent to Press machine with Accept and
Reject operations based on Billet Target Temp. All the Automation Products were communicating on
Ethernet/IP except PF40 which was controlled by Analog Voltage reference.

commissioning of it.
6. Shot Blasting Machine (Mec Shot Blasting Equipments, Jodhpur):
Used Automation Product: Compact logix L18ER controller, 1783-ETAP, Point IO system, Panel view
plus 1000 HMI, Power flex-4M series drives.
Project Detail: Whole system works on Ethernet/ IP network with PLC, Point IO system, Panel view
plus 1000 HMI . Shot Blasting of the object is done at three different positions and machine was
programmed with resume capability on any fault or at power cycle.
Role & Responsibility: Discuss project application, development of programs, testing as well as
commissioning of it.
7. Dehumidifier Air Dryer, Mould Sweat Protector, Screw Chiller, Series Chiller, Air
Chiller, Single Loader, Doser Machines (NuVu Conair, Ahmedabad):
Used Automation Product: Micro 800 family PLCs with IO Syatem, Panel View Component Class
HMIs, Power Flex 4M Series AC Drives, Servo Drive K3.
Role & Responsibility: Discuss project application, development of programs and testing of it.
Remarks: NuVu Conair is now one of the biggest OEM of Pima Controls Pvt. Ltd. and purchasing
more than 100 numbers of PLC sets per month.
