Education
Purdue University, West Lafayette, IN, U.S.A Master of Mechanical Engineering 08/2014 - 12/2016
Hunan University, Changsha, Hunan, P.R. China Master of Vehicle Engineering 09/2012 - 06/2014
Hunan University, Changsha, Hunan, P.R. China Bachelor of Vehicle Engineering 09/2008 - 06/2012
Experience
Hydraulic Hybrid Transmission Project
Simulation Engineer
Maha Fluid Power Research Center, Purdue University, U.S.A
08/2014 – 05/2016
● Generated the hydraulic system model of the Novel Blended Hydraulic Hybrid transmission by Matlab/Simulink
● Built the heat transfer model of the Novel Blended Hydraulic Hybrid transmission system by Matlab/Simulink, which can
predict fluid temperature and helped to determine the necessary cooling efficient for cooler
● Used UDDS drive cycle for both model in the loop and hardware in the loop simulations, by using displacement control
for hydraulic pumps/motors, this hybrid transmission saved 11% fuel compare with normal automatic transmissions
● Designed a portable fuel tank (72% lighter) and an adaptor between engine and hydraulic pump by Solidworks
Vehicle Dynamic Simulation Project
Simulation Engineer
Purdue University, U.S.A
01/2016 – 05/2016
● Generated the powertrain and tire system models to predict longitudinal motion of a certain vehicle, can accurately
simulate the acceleration performance
● Generated a quarter-car vibration model to predict vertical motion of a certain vehicle, simulate and discussed how
different damping may impact the vehicle comfort performance
● Generated a 3-DOF model to predict lateral motion of a certain vehicle, can accurately simulate the yaw rate and drift
angle response due to the steering input and roll steer effect
Hydraulic Interconnected Suspension Project
Hydraulic System Engineer, Co-Op
Changzhou Wan-an Automotive Components Company, China
05/2013 - 05/2014
● Help designed a Novel Hydraulic Interconnected Suspension, which can greatly prevent vehicle from rollover accidents,
and have barely no other influences on vehicle at same time
● Generated a 9-DOF vibration model of a SUV and simulated by Matlab/Simulink
● Operated several hardware in the loop tests to get the natural frequencies of the vehicle
● Reduced about 35% possibility of rollover for this vehicle
Formula SAE (FSAE) Competition of China
Simulation Engineer, Leader of Suspension Group
Hunan University, China
10/2009 - 11/2011
● Designed the suspension system of the FSAE racing car, which can keep all wheel on ground when having a 2 g lateral
acceleration on the racing car
● Generated the dynamic model for the FSAE racing car, and simulated by ADAMS/Car
● Built 3D models for suspension components by UGNX. Produced 2D drawings for suspension components byAuto CAD
● Placed No. 2 of 20 teams for design score, No. 3 of 20 teams for cost score on Formula Student China 2010 event
● Placed No. 2 of 33 teams for acceleration score, No. 6 of 33 teams for autocross score, No. 8 of 33 teams for skid pad
score on Formula Student China 2011 event
