 Use of the hr polices to promote the sustainable use
of resource with in organisation and more generally
promotes the cause environmental sustainability

1.GREEN RECRUITMENT
 Green Recruitment means a paper-free recruitment process
with a minimal environmental impact.
 Applications are invited through online mediums like e-mail,
online application forms or the Global Talent Pool.
 If possible, telephone or video-based interviews are
conducted to minimize any travel-related environmental
impact.
 Green Recruitment is active in the field of professional
recruitment, with a view to meeting the growing needs for
experts in the areas of renewable energy, climate change and
sustainable development.
2.GREEN PERFORMANCE
MANAGMENT
 Managers are set green targets ,goals and responsibilities
 Role of managers in achieving these goals is included in
appraisal
 Green standards for all department such as waste reduction
 Penalties for non compliance of EM
3.GREEN TRAINING AND
DEVELOPMENT
 Green training and development educate employees about
the value of EM
 Trian them in working methods that conserve energy and
reduce waste
 Diffuse environmental awareness in the organisation
 To conclude train their employees with best business practices
enthused with green initiatives
 To bring awareness among employees of becoming earth
friendly and buying green products
4.GREEN COMPENSATION
 Reward and compensations motivate them to exert maximum
effort on their part to achieve organisational goals
 Organisations are developing reward systems to encourage
eco friendly initiatives embarked up on by their employees
 Promote green culture among the employees
 Managers ask the employees to bring specific and included in
objectives of organisation
 Attaining these objectives Is basis for the reward (or)

 It is the CSR of the organisation to include green hr initiatives
in their manifesto

 Finding the balance between home building and sustainable
environment
 Objective is to reduce impact of built environment on human
health and natural environment by
efficient use of energy ,water and other resources
protecting occupant health and improving employee
productivity
reduce waste ,pollution
 Organisations are opting more for green building
b)Paperless office
 Paperless office is a work place where the use of paper is
either restricted or eliminated
 by converting important official documents and other papers
into automated workflows.
 The practice greatly reduce the consumption of paper,
 Reduce the costs of paper-related actions including copying,
printing, and storing, and also save the time used for
searching paper documents.
c)Conservation of energy
 Turn off pc’s ,TV and lights before leaving
 Use of solar energy
 Employees are asked to promote car sharing and public
transport
d)Recycling the waste
 Recycling is the methodology of processing used up materials
(waste) into new and useful products.
 Recycling reduces the use of raw materials that would have
been otherwise used to produce new products.
 Consequently, this practice saves energy and reduces the
amount of waste that is thrown into the dustbins, thereby
making the environment cleaner and the air fresher.
