This document provides information about the first general meeting of Students Helping Honduras. The agenda includes introducing new executive board members, an introduction to the organization, information about upcoming trips, and planned fundraisers. Students Helping Honduras is a non-profit that builds schools in Honduras to alleviate poverty and violence through education. Chapters travel to Honduras to begin building schools and then fundraise to complete the projects. Upcoming fundraisers discussed are a Valentine's rose and chocolate sale, t-shirt fundraiser, and bake sale. The group is deciding between funding a new middle school or replacing an old school facility.

5. What is Students Helping Honduras?
• Students Helping Honduras is a
non-profit organization. Their
mission is to alleviate extreme
poverty and violence in Honduras
through education and youth
empowerment.
• To do this - We build schools
• The organization was founded by
CNN Hero, Shin Fujiyama in 2006 -
2 years after he attended a service
trip in Honduras. He has been living
in Honduras for nearly 10 years.
7. What do we do?
•SHH Chapters go down to Honduras on 8- day trips and begin building
schools.
•Chapters then fundraise to FINISH the schools they started!
