2. Business decisions about products or services are
often made from presentations given by
representatives in the organization (Martin, 1995).
Good communication and approachability are great
tools for employees to have when presenting.
Unlike business reports, presentations allow for
conversation about the products and services (Griffith,
2006).
3. Business presentations can make or break the
success of an organization based on the
effectiveness of the presenter.
At one point in time employees will have to
communicate products or results to others and
learning how to present effectively will benefit
both the employee and the organization (Guffey
&Lowery, 2011).
4. Guffey & Lowery (2011) state that the first step
of an effective presentation is knowing who you
are presenting to.
This first tip allows business presenters to
focus in and see what the product can do for
the possible clients.

5. The next step is to deliver the product or process through verbal
communication and visuals or demonstrations which will
engage the audience to create an effective presentation
(Griffith, 2006).
This step engages the audience into the products or results
that were found which benefits the business.

The next step is to summarize the topics and ensure that all of
the audiences questions are answered about the product or
services being offered (Guffey & Lowery, 2011).
Approachability and knowledge are two key skills that
employees who are presenting should learn.
These skills will help the audience feel good about the product
if their questions can be answered.
7. When considering presenting employees should
always find someone who can communicate
effectively
Communication is present in the workplace and is
a valuable tool leaders look for in an employee
(Keyton & Caputo, 2013).
Building a story will help presenters sell products
or demonstrate the need and those presenters
should have good communication skills (Griffith.
2006).
8. Effective communication can come from the visuals in the
presentation via charts and graphs that show the information or
success (Griffith, 2006).
Communication can drive the success of an organization and
the employees ( Keyton & Caputo, 2013).

9. Know who the audience is and what they are
looking for in the products or services (Guffey &
Lowery, 2011).
Be approachable and knowledgeable about the
topic or products.
Effective communication is key to a successful
presentation.
Build the story of the product or services so that
the audience can relate and engage into the
presentation (Griffith, 2006).
