Nick was a hardworking baseball player who became a leader on his high school and travel baseball teams despite being one of the younger players. As catcher, one of the most difficult positions, he helped younger players improve and not repeat mistakes. After attending community college and a university that canceled its baseball program, Nick now plays at Northwood University, demonstrating his persistence in pursuing baseball and education. Whoever hires Nick will gain a diligent worker focused on achieving his goals.
1. To Whom It May Concern,
I have known Nick since his freshman year of high school, and had the pleasure of coaching him in summer
baseball for travel baseball. I was Nick’s coach for 4 years, always found him to be one of the hardest working
players on the team. He was our main catcher which is one of the most difficult positions on a baseball
team. Nick became a leader on the team even though at the beginning he was one of the younger players,
which speaks strongly of his character. When he became one of the older players on the team (his senior
year) he worked very well with the younger players to make them feel comfortable, to be a part of team, and to
let them know when they made a mistake so that they could improve their play, and not repeat their mistake
again. I know that he went to a community college, was recruited by a souther school which canceled their
baseball program after two years that he was there, and that he now plays at Northwood University in Midland
Mi. This is an indication of Nick’s ability to stick to his desired opportunity to play baseball at the university
level, and still work towards obtaining his college degree. Whatever the future holds for him I am sure that Nick
will work hard to reach his goals, and be a worker that a company would be proud to have in their organization.
