INTEGRITY INNOVATION COLLABORATION CARE & RESPECT EXCELLENCE • Learning by doing refers to a theory of education expounded by American philosopher John Dewey. • Stressing the values of excellence by inspiring other: A leader’s actions set an unspoken standard about what is appropriate and what is not. • Followers learn about acceptable behaviors through observation. • Therefore, as a leader everything you do has an influence on others; your actions and behaviors are examined, interpreted and amplified all the time and serve as guide posts for how things should be done and what is expected. • When leaders set an example with the goal of shaping strategy and culture, magic happens. Trust increases, behaviors change, collaboration improves, values are conveyed and goals are achieved! • ALL OF THIS IS DONE THROUGH EXHIBITING EXCELLENCE!

INTEGRITY INNOVATION COLLABORATION CARE & RESPECT EXCELLENCE • What better way to express, promote and convey the value of EXCELLENCE than by LEARNING and FOLLOWING the real examples in our own company that exhibit EXCELLENCE! • We chose 5 Excellence Leaders in the categories of: • 1) Inspiring and Mentoring others to stretch beyond what they thought was possible • 2) Developing and Executing proactive solutions that add value • 3) Working with a sense of urgency, accuracy and efficiency • 4) Acting in a professional manner through dress, conduct and communication • 5) Demonstrating knowledge, technical expertise and competence that results in trusted advisor status • Each honoree was awarded with a golden star trophy and surprised with a chant about their excellence while wearing the golden star of excellence hat. • The following slides include a video and pictures of each honoree receiving their award.

Through the examples we have recognized we hope that we can all learn how to display the value of excellence! Honorable Mention: Our Armed Forces, who work with a sense of urgency and accuracy for our country, execute solutions that add value, act in a professional manner and demonstrate knowledge and expertise. They are truly Stars by their Performance of Excellence in this day and age for our country. In an attempt to show excellence we have elected to donate our entire allowance of $100 directly to the American Heart Association… in addition to our vacation funds of course!
