Heist at Greensburg
Manor
The Mysterious Case of the Stolen Necklace…
“Detective, open up your case notes and read through them
carefully. We’re going to have to make sure we have all the
information to be able to solve this crime!
The three suspects: Gareth Greensburg, Betty Brown, and Pierre
La’Broth are all awaiting in the Manor’s foyer for you to decide
who stole the necklace”
Search the manor for clues about the three suspects.
Gareth Greensburg, the
son of Lady Greensburg
Betty Brown, maid of the
Greensburg Manor
Pierre La’Broth, the newly-
hired chef of the Manor
This Blue Arrow means that you will go into the next section of the game. Only
click on this button to move forward. It will appear in the bottom-right Corner of
each screen.
Remember that once you move forward you cannot return to the section you
are leaving!
The Green Arrow means you return to the screen from where you came. This
will only appear when clicking on Hints and Clues. It will appear in the bottom-
left corner.
The only other things that you can click on in this game are Hints, Clues, and the
Suspects when you are ready to accuse them of the crime!
The Accuse button immediately takes you to the final screen showing all three
suspects awaiting accusation. Making the correct accusation will win you the
game.
You may not return to any other screens once this button is clicked.
The scene of the crime…
The first place to look is always the scene of the crime… Maybe
the thief left some clues or hints here?
The necklace was last seen in Lady Greensburg’s Bedroom
before it was taken.
Lady Greensburg’s Room
Gareth’s Bedroom
Gareth is Lady Greensburg’s son, and is spoiled rotten! He is
used to living in a fancy room with lots of expensive things.
Maybe his room will have some clues…
Gareth Greensburg’s Room
Betty’s Bedroom
Betty has served for many years as the maid of Lady
Greensburg. But despite her years of service, her room is much
less luxurious than everyone else’s in the house.
Could the clues to the case be found here?
Betty Brown’s Room
The Manor Kitchen
While mainly used by Pierre La’Broth, the kitchen of the Manor is
a good place to hide anything people don’t want found…
Greensburg Manor Kitchen
Pierre’s Bedroom
Pierre is the newest addition to the staff at Greensburg Manor,
and has only been working there for a few weeks.
Could the new guy have a secret to hide already?
Pierre La’Broth’s Room
The Manor’s Living Room
The living room is the most shared room of the house.
Anyone could have left clues in this final room…
Greensburg Manor Living Room
The Foyer
The next room is the final room of Greensburg Manor.
The three suspects are awaiting you in the foyer, and you will
decide which one you think has stolen Lady Greensburg’s
necklace…
Choose carefully!
Which of the suspects stole the necklace from Lady Greensburg?
You have accused Gareth Greensburg…
You have accused Pierre La’Broth…
You have accused Betty Brown…
And you’re right!
By using your detective skills and joining all the clues together you
have solved that Betty Brown is the one who stole Lady Greensburg’s
necklace!
As you arrest her she confesses to the crime and admits that she stole
the necklace because she was angry at Lady Greensburg for paying
her so little and giving her such a small room after working for her for
so many years… especially compared to newer staff like Pierre.
Well done, Detective.
Hint – The Empty Jewelry Box
This is the jewelry box in which Lady Greenburg used to keep the
stolen necklace.
Nothing is left inside it now…
Hint – The other jewelry box
This is Lady Greensburg’s other jewelry box.
But surprisingly nothing has been taken from it.
Hint – Fancy bed
This is Lady Greensburg’s four poster bed.
You can definitely see just how wealthy she is by her having this
kind of bed!
You have found a Clue!
The vase near the scene of the crime has been recently cleaned.
The rest of the room has almost no dust in it and everything is
tidy, just as Lady Greensburg likes it to be.
Hint – Lady Greensburg’s Purse
Lady Greensburg’s purse has been left on the couch in her room.
For a rich lady there doesn’t seem to be much money inside it…
You have found a clue!
Checking Gareth’s gaming console you can see the messages
he has sent other players.
Gareth has sent a message in-game to a friend that says “Nah all
good I will just steal more cash. It’s too small for her to notice!”
You have found a clue!
You check inside Gareth’s drawers and find a lot of very fancy
and expensive watches.
He shouldn’t be able to afford these kinds of fancy luxuries…
Where did he get the money for these from?
Hint – Fancy Books
Gareth’s bookcase is filled with rare and valuable books. The
kind you would expect in a fancy library.
He clearly has grown up with the nicest things around him! I
wonder how he’ll cope without this when his mother kicks him out
of home?
Hint - Couches
Who is so spoiled that they get to have a room with so many
couches and a big TV?
Hint – Dusty Vase
This vase looks particularly dusty.
It looks as if the maid has not come in here to clean all that much
lately…
Hint – Messy Table
Gareth has messily left crumbs all over the table.
He is supposed to be an adult but he acts like a child. No wonder
his mother is unhappy with him lately and has been talking about
kicking him out!
Hint - Carpet
Everything about the rooms of the Greensburg family is luxurious.
Even the carpets look like artistic masterpieces on the floor!
You have found a clue!
You look inside the drawers and find Betty Brown’s diary.
It reveals that Betty has been working for Lady Greensburg for
over 10 years. She writes about how she feels like she should be
rewarded for helping her for so long.
Hint – Flower Pots
Betty’s room has nothing nice or fancy in it, unlike all the other
rooms at Greensburg Manor.
It looks like she has put flowers around her room to try and make
the place look a little nicer…
You have found a clue!
Inside this old vase you find a crumbled up receipt.
Upon inspection you realise it is for a very expensive pair of
shoes that cost $500!
Hint – Tidy Bookshelf
As you would expect from a maid, even Betty’s bookshelf is very
neat and tidy. She must be pretty good at her job after all.
You have found a clue!
It seems as if Pierre has burned a cake the night that the
necklace was taken!
I wonder why he was distracted the night of the robbery?
You have found a clue!
Hidden on the shelves you spot an opened letter.
It is a mysterious love letter to Pierre, but it does not say who it is
from…
Who is the new chefs secret admirer?
You have found a clue!
You notice Pierre’s phone on the kitchen table.
There is a text message to him that was sent during the time of
the robbery.
It tells him to “meet me behind the shed xo”. It looks like Pierre
wasn’t in the house at the time of the robbery…
Hint – Fancy Food
Pierre has been working hard to give the Greensburg family the
fanciest food to eat.
Anyone would be jealous of all these delicious cakes and treats!
Hint – Barrels of Wine
The wine cellar area has barrels full of expensive and tasty
wines.
If someone wanted to make money they could have stolen these
rather than the necklace!
Hint – Pierre’s Recipes
Pierre is new as the chef to the Greensburg family.
He has collected all his old recipes to impress his new bosses.
You have found a clue!
You search through Pierre’s drawers and find a whole lot of his
clothes.
You notice on one of the shirts that there is lipstick smudged on
the collar…
Has Pierre been doing more than just cooking around the manor?
You have found a clue!
There is a scrap of paper lying on Pierre’s bedside table. It looks
like it was ripped off the bottom of a letter.
On it is written: “Love, Gabriella xo”
Hint – New TV
Even though Pierre is new to this job it seems as if he has
already started to receive gifts from them for his amazing
cooking.
Clearly only some of the Greensburg staff have been rewarded
for their work…
Hint – Cooking Books
Pierre’s shelves are filled with books related to cooking and fine
cuisine.
He has clearly been studying hard to make sure he is the best at
his work!
You have found a clue!
It looks to be a page torn out of Betty Brown’s diary.
Betty has written down that she is not happy about how she has
been treated and that she has not been given a pay rise.
She also writes about how she thinks she may need to take
revenge against Lady Greensburg…
You have found a clue!
You examine Gareth’s other gaming console.
It seems he was online during the time of the robbery. But if he
was playing games then how could he have been the one to steal
his mother’s necklace?
You have found a clue!
You find Gareth’s mobile on the table.
You search through and find a text message to a friend that says
“Damn it! Someone has gone and stolen my Mum’s necklace! I
know I have been stealing money from her, but I just hope I won’t
get blamed for something as big as this!”
Hint – Picked Flowers
Gabriella, Gareth’s sister, has a flower garden behind the shed
and has brought flowers inside.
Lady Greensburg is currently unhappy with Gareth, but is adoring
of her daughter.
You have won the game!
Congratulations!
Stay on this screen, raise your hand, and wait for the teacher to
confirm that you have solved the Heist of Greensburg Manor!
Don’t tell anyone else the answer…
But you’re wrong…
You have accused the wrong suspect.
While you are busy arresting and jailing the wrong suspect, the
one who stole Lady Greensburg’s necklace escapes and is never
seen again.
Better luck next time!
Thank you for playing!

  • 23. And you’re right! By using your detective skills and joining all the clues together you have solved that Betty Brown is the one who stole Lady Greensburg’s necklace! As you arrest her she confesses to the crime and admits that she stole the necklace because she was angry at Lady Greensburg for paying her so little and giving her such a small room after working for her for so many years… especially compared to newer staff like Pierre. Well done, Detective.
  • 24. Hint – The Empty Jewelry Box This is the jewelry box in which Lady Greenburg used to keep the stolen necklace. Nothing is left inside it now…
  • 25. Hint – The other jewelry box This is Lady Greensburg’s other jewelry box. But surprisingly nothing has been taken from it.
  • 26. Hint – Fancy bed This is Lady Greensburg’s four poster bed. You can definitely see just how wealthy she is by her having this kind of bed!
  • 27. You have found a Clue! The vase near the scene of the crime has been recently cleaned. The rest of the room has almost no dust in it and everything is tidy, just as Lady Greensburg likes it to be.
  • 28. Hint – Lady Greensburg’s Purse Lady Greensburg’s purse has been left on the couch in her room. For a rich lady there doesn’t seem to be much money inside it…
  • 29. You have found a clue! Checking Gareth’s gaming console you can see the messages he has sent other players. Gareth has sent a message in-game to a friend that says “Nah all good I will just steal more cash. It’s too small for her to notice!”
  • 30. You have found a clue! You check inside Gareth’s drawers and find a lot of very fancy and expensive watches. He shouldn’t be able to afford these kinds of fancy luxuries… Where did he get the money for these from?
  • 31. Hint – Fancy Books Gareth’s bookcase is filled with rare and valuable books. The kind you would expect in a fancy library. He clearly has grown up with the nicest things around him! I wonder how he’ll cope without this when his mother kicks him out of home?
  • 32. Hint - Couches Who is so spoiled that they get to have a room with so many couches and a big TV?
  • 33. Hint – Dusty Vase This vase looks particularly dusty. It looks as if the maid has not come in here to clean all that much lately…
  • 34. Hint – Messy Table Gareth has messily left crumbs all over the table. He is supposed to be an adult but he acts like a child. No wonder his mother is unhappy with him lately and has been talking about kicking him out!
  • 35. Hint - Carpet Everything about the rooms of the Greensburg family is luxurious. Even the carpets look like artistic masterpieces on the floor!
  • 36. You have found a clue! You look inside the drawers and find Betty Brown’s diary. It reveals that Betty has been working for Lady Greensburg for over 10 years. She writes about how she feels like she should be rewarded for helping her for so long.
  • 37. Hint – Flower Pots Betty’s room has nothing nice or fancy in it, unlike all the other rooms at Greensburg Manor. It looks like she has put flowers around her room to try and make the place look a little nicer…
  • 38. You have found a clue! Inside this old vase you find a crumbled up receipt. Upon inspection you realise it is for a very expensive pair of shoes that cost $500!
  • 39. Hint – Tidy Bookshelf As you would expect from a maid, even Betty’s bookshelf is very neat and tidy. She must be pretty good at her job after all.
  • 40. You have found a clue! It seems as if Pierre has burned a cake the night that the necklace was taken! I wonder why he was distracted the night of the robbery?
  • 41. You have found a clue! Hidden on the shelves you spot an opened letter. It is a mysterious love letter to Pierre, but it does not say who it is from… Who is the new chefs secret admirer?
  • 42. You have found a clue! You notice Pierre’s phone on the kitchen table. There is a text message to him that was sent during the time of the robbery. It tells him to “meet me behind the shed xo”. It looks like Pierre wasn’t in the house at the time of the robbery…
  • 43. Hint – Fancy Food Pierre has been working hard to give the Greensburg family the fanciest food to eat. Anyone would be jealous of all these delicious cakes and treats!
  • 44. Hint – Barrels of Wine The wine cellar area has barrels full of expensive and tasty wines. If someone wanted to make money they could have stolen these rather than the necklace!
  • 45. Hint – Pierre’s Recipes Pierre is new as the chef to the Greensburg family. He has collected all his old recipes to impress his new bosses.
  • 46. You have found a clue! You search through Pierre’s drawers and find a whole lot of his clothes. You notice on one of the shirts that there is lipstick smudged on the collar… Has Pierre been doing more than just cooking around the manor?
  • 47. You have found a clue! There is a scrap of paper lying on Pierre’s bedside table. It looks like it was ripped off the bottom of a letter. On it is written: “Love, Gabriella xo”
  • 48. Hint – New TV Even though Pierre is new to this job it seems as if he has already started to receive gifts from them for his amazing cooking. Clearly only some of the Greensburg staff have been rewarded for their work…
  • 49. Hint – Cooking Books Pierre’s shelves are filled with books related to cooking and fine cuisine. He has clearly been studying hard to make sure he is the best at his work!
  • 50. You have found a clue! It looks to be a page torn out of Betty Brown’s diary. Betty has written down that she is not happy about how she has been treated and that she has not been given a pay rise. She also writes about how she thinks she may need to take revenge against Lady Greensburg…
  • 51. You have found a clue! You examine Gareth’s other gaming console. It seems he was online during the time of the robbery. But if he was playing games then how could he have been the one to steal his mother’s necklace?
  • 52. You have found a clue! You find Gareth’s mobile on the table. You search through and find a text message to a friend that says “Damn it! Someone has gone and stolen my Mum’s necklace! I know I have been stealing money from her, but I just hope I won’t get blamed for something as big as this!”
  • 53. Hint – Picked Flowers Gabriella, Gareth’s sister, has a flower garden behind the shed and has brought flowers inside. Lady Greensburg is currently unhappy with Gareth, but is adoring of her daughter.
