2. Past simple
Narrative tenses are the tenses that we use to talk about
past events and to tell stories.
The most common of these is the past simple. Almost any
story can be told using this tense.
Remember! There are regular and irregular verbs:
➔ be - was/were - been // look - looked - looked
3. Connectors
Linkers and connectors are necessary to join and organize
the different events in a narrative text. Here you have
some examples of linkers you can use:
First (ly) Meanwhile Soon after After (that)
Second (ly) Not long after Finally / at last While
Third (ly) The next day Now Then
Next Once Before Later
4. Some advice
● Write clear and short sentences
● Organize your ideas before writing
● Use a variety of adjectives
● Be consistent with verb tenses
● Use linkers and connectors to make it sound natural
