Summer Kickoff
To do this we have had to reimagine, reengineer in fact turn on its head the very notion of what we perceive a meeting to be
For the rest of you…
Research shows that you can become agile if
You replace the hierarchical ways of working and create what Deloitte calls “networks of teams”.
So instead of top down… you have many small teams that are each connected to the others
Today
I am going to talk about networks of teams
And give you 5 ways that technology can empower them
https://www2.deloitte.com/insights/us/en/focus/human-capital-trends/2017/introduction.html
This report marks the fifth anniversary of our annual deep dive into human capital trends. This year, our survey included more than 10,000 respondents from 140 countries, fueling our analysis of the social, economic, political, technological, and cultural issues facing business and HR leaders and employees worldwide. Business productivity has not kept pace with technological progress.
To do this we have had to reimagine, reengineer in fact turn on its head the very notion of what we perceive a meeting to be
You never have to ask … can you send me the deck again.
All of the pain points are on the transitions.
First pain point – escalating from furious chat into the meeting itself. Requires all of this coordination to figure out how to do that – whose bridge to use? Are you in a video room and how do we get you in?
Second pain point – sharing information during a meeting- the chat in the meeting isn’t the same chat. You can email it after the meeting…
Third paint point- how do I know when to switch meetings when I have all of these back to back meetings?
Forth pain point- work doesn’t stop when the meeting ends, if anything that’s when it starts and tracking actions requires connecting with people
Good meetings happen when people connect at the right level of intensity, depending on their needs – maybe casually over chat, intensely face-to-face or via video or in real life meeting rooms.
To do this we have had to reimagine, reengineer in fact turn on its head the very notion of what we perceive a meeting to be
The Project Sparrow team has been busy. They’ve been discussing the project, developing content and have had several meetings. Where does all of this stuff go, and how do you find it later?
With today’s tools there would dozens of chat messages, several long email threads, files stored in multiple locations (box, on their PCs, Dropbox, etc.), meeting recording links lost in someone’s email inbox, photos of whiteboards and so on…and each our team members would be doing their best to keep track of all of these details and artifacts.
But, that’s not the case with project Sparrow because we’ve solved that too. It is all in one place. It is in their room. They have call logs indicating when they met, documents they’ve shared, and their entire chat conversation from the time they started working together. Even cooler – you see here the captured moments from the meeting too. These captured moments are visible to all. So, when Jasmine captured that moment, everyone else can see and access the moment that she bookmarked. In essence, this is a form of social note taking, where the collected set of captured moments form the wisdom of the crowd.
Every single piece of information can be searched and recalled at a later date. Finally, as new members join the team - is a simple step to add them to the room so they can see the history and hit the ground running as a contributor.

Sales conversation
Two conversations:
Architectural workflow
Every conversation is these two conversation – what does it mean, lead conversation by bring web conferencing and video into a single experience
Bring these two together upfront in the conversation
Integrated workflows – two conersations – optimizing meeting experience and integrating work

The meeting room today is often a complex combination of technical and analogue tools that don’t work together. To take on this level of complexity, a solution has to distill all of these tolls down to something very easy.
