11. About Electronics and Communication Engineering – Division of SEEE
There has been a magnificent progress and improvement in the field of electronics, with
the invention of more sophisticated, compact and cheaper electronics devices, which are
being utilized everywhere.
The different trends in Electronics and Communication are:
5G will become mainstream, it will increase the data speed drastically as well as it will
give us more flexibility in wireless sensor network
Artificial Intelligence is everywhere now, most companies are now trying to use artificial
intelligence in their company some way or other.
Specialized areas like computer vision, language and speech recognition, code-swathing,
natural language programming etc. are being explored for many applications in every day
life.
Nano technology is set to move beyond science fiction to reality, impacting every aspect
of our lives.
Continued….
12. Smart home devices like smart lock system, smart lighting and entertainment system,
smart mirror, connected appliances are becoming popular.
Transforming Auto industry with smart electric vehicle with AI. Many companies are
now trying to make their electric autonomous cars.
Sensor, Embedded system and IoT is also in the centre of research for a couple of
decades now. The invention of a compact and efficient embedded system and sensors
boost the application of this field.
VLSI deals with increasing the efficiency of a single device by integrating more
components. We can see the progress of VLSI technology by just observing the progress
of our computers/mobiles. Speed, computational efficiency, power consumption, all
have improved because of the work and research in this domain.
Unmanned Arial Vehicle (UAV) based applications is another upcoming application in
the area of Electronics and Communication engineering.
