To whom it may concern
Neil worked as the Let’s Talk Science Student Site Coordinator at Fleming College during the 2014/2015
academic year. During that time I developed a high regard for Neil based on his passion for sustainability
initiatives and enthusiasm to engage youth and student volunteers.
As the coordinator of the initiative, his tasks involved organizing and delivering science-based workshops
for youth, community engagement, representing the college through public workshops and events,
recruiting volunteers, creating a work plan and managing the budget. Neil did an excellent job in all
areas. He can work independently and is able to follow through to ensure that a job gets done.
In the period that I have interacted with Neil, he did not only come across as a very professionally
competent person, but also as very friendly and compassionate. Neil’s pleasant nature and can-do
attitude made him a very low maintenance employee. His strong human relations skills enabled him to
communicate effectively and establish an excellent rapport with different constituents, including
students, staff and faculty. His strong verbal communication skills allowed him to convey information in
a clear and coherent manner.
I recommend Neil for employment or any other endeavors he chooses to pursue, particularly, for roles
which require communication skills, interaction with a variety of stakeholder, and a positive attitude. If I
can be of any further assistance, or provide you with any further information, please do not hesitate to
contact me.
Yours Sincerely,
Maeda Welch
