2. Be a good public speaker
• Make sure audience remember you so always introduce yourself.
• It should be clear to you that what message you want to give to your
audience. Top five ideas.
• Be concise. No need of lot of bullet points. Audience don’t need to know
everything that you know. More bullet points can be given as handouts.
• Observe the group that you are presenting too.
• Adopt story telling. If no story, not a very important message. Story is not a
luxury it is fundamental building block.
• Two things are important story and passion. Use cases and examples.
• Get constant feedback. Don’t ask them what they think, don’t ask them,
am I 5-star worthy, people can hurt your feelings. Ask them, what do you
remember from my presentation?
3. • Insert visuals, images in power point than text, use props, no complexity.
• If needed use a cheat sheet.
• Figure it out, what you want audience to do.
• Record yourself and listen.
• What do you want your audience to do. Give clear message. People listening you
would actually do what you want.
• What would motivate your audience the most.
• Don’t be boring. Think from audience point of view.
• Watch yourself give presentation on a video.
• Focus your energy to make feel audience better.
• Focus on one individual at a time, you won’t have time to be nervous.
• PowerPoint is not a presentation. You are a presentation you are a messenger.
Remember, you are not a butler to the slide show.
