WHAT IS AN EV
• ELECTRIC VEHICLES are propelled by electric motors and uses electric energy stored
in the batteries.
• Unlike vehicles with combustion engines, EV do not produce exhaust gases during
operations. This make EV more environment friendly than fuel engines.
• How ever the electrical energy for charging the electric Be hide is produced from the
renewable sources eg: from wind, solar hydroelectric or biogas power plants.
• By combining different drive types the overall efficiency of the vehicle can be
improved and fuel consumption can be reduced.

LEAD ACID
• The lead-acid battery consists of (in the charged state) electrodes of lead metal (Pb)
and lead oxide (PbO2) in an electrolyte of about 37% sulfuric acid (H2SO4).
• In the discharged state both electrodes turn into lead sulfate (PbSO4) and the
electrolyte loses its dissolved sulfuric acid and becomes primarily water.
LITHIUM POLYMER
• A lithium polymer battery, or more correctly lithium-ion polymer battery, is a
rechargeable battery of lithium-ion technology using a polymer electrolyte instead
of a liquid electrolyte.
• High conductivity semisolid polymers form this electrolyte.
LITHIUM ION
• The meaning of LITHIUM-ION BATTERY is a rechargeable battery that uses lithium
ions as the primary component of its electrolyte.
LITHIUM IRON PHOSPHATE
• The lithium iron phosphate battery is a type of lithium-ion battery using lithium iron
phosphate as the cathode material, and a graphitic carbon electrode with a metallic
backing as the anode.
LITHIUM TITANATE
• The lithium-titanate or lithium-titanium-oxide (LTO) battery is a type of rechargeable
battery which has the advantage of being faster to charge[2] than other lithium-ion
batteries but the disadvantage of having a much lower energy density.
INCENTIVE TO BUY ELECTRIC VEHICLE
• LESS FUEL COST
• NO TIME SPENT AT THE GAS STATION
• INDIA GOVERNMENT PROVIDES SUBSIDY OF 15000FOR EV CARS AND 30000 FOR EV

• ABOUT 5 MILLION EV CARS WILL BE ON THE ROAD BY 2025.
• CREATING INCENTIVE TO PROMOTE ZERO EMMISION VEHICLES.
• CURRENTLY WORKING TO CREATE MORE EFFICIENT AND LIGHTER BATTERIES.
• THEY ARE ALSO RESEARCHES BEING DONE ON FUEL CELL.
• CREATING BUILDING CODES, THAT MAKES IT EASIER TO CONSTRUCT NEWCHARGING
STATIONS.
CONCLUSION
• EV IS ENVIRONMET FRIENDLY.
• IT LOWERS OUR TOXIC EMISSION.
• IT REDUCES HEALTH PROBLES FROM AIR POLLUTION.
