Storyboard Draft Ideas
Start with a High-angle shot of the Snare drum (Close-Up)
Cut to the band setting up:
Close-Up’s of the amps/instruments
Shallow focus on the amps and instruments
Pull focus on the microphone (Close-Up showing only half the vocalists
face and the microphone
Cut back to the Snare drum and then to the band setting up around 4/5 times
before the guitar enters at 0:06
When the guitar comes in, show the guitarist standing alone whilst playing. Keep
cutting between the drum and the guitar. Over the top of this, fade images of the
other members of the band over this.
Between 0:26 and 0:29 start to show low and high angle shots of each band
member (faces in plain view)
At 0:29 when the guitar note rings and the cymbals ring, show the band at a long
shot (Slowly zoom out and start to zoom back in)
At 0:34 have a low angle shot (placed between the guitar body and neck) then
jump to the shallow focus on the hi-hat/low angle guitar/close-up of the vocalist
and their microphone/crowd entering the gig n a hand-held device.
Lip synch the first vocal line with an eye-level shot of the vocalist and then walk
around the front of them using the 180-degree rule.
At 0:40 as the whole band start, get the lighting to come in at once yet show this
as a medium shot of the band on stage.
Show a pan starting in front of the singer and turn to look at the crowd area.
Tracking shot from one side of the stage to the other.
At 0:47/0:48 on the phrase “so many” show the singer from multiple angles -
jump cuts at high speed.
At 0:53 when the guitar and the cymbals play at the same time show the guitar in
the same angle as in 0:34. Cut between that and the drummer from the front the
front of the kit.
At 0:55 when the backing vocals come in show a slightly out of focus shot of the
microphone then pull focus into the singer at the front of the stage.
At 1:03 show an overhead shot of the drummer as the snare is hit and then a shot
from behind the drummer as the cymbals are hit.

2. At 1:05 show the shot of the guitarist playing at half speed and then try to slow it
down a little in the editing.
