Carol observed and studied editing and camerawork in music videos and found out that edits are
more frequent in music videos than in film. In many videos there is a connection between the
rhythmic basis of the song and the editing this can include that the camera may move in time with
the music. Also draw eve more attention to the audience many edits are used such as; special
effects, fade in/outs and wipes and a common use of jump cuts is also found.
Another point she made was that continuity is usually broken or not use again to draw attention to
what is on the screen ad instead a master shot is frequently used to give the video some sort of
structure.
