It then examines the social issues of poverty, crime/violence, and HIV/AIDS through definitions and videos. Poverty is defined as a lack of needs like resources and shelter due to inability to afford them. Crime is acting against laws and customs in a way that destroys society. HIV attacks the immune system and destroys white blood cells needed to fight disease.
