 James Gosling is generally credited as the inventor of the java programming
language.
 He is the first designer of java and implemented its original compiler and virtual
machine.
 He is also known as father of java.

7. According to sun , Java language java is simple because:
1. Syntax is based on C++
2. No need to remove unreferenced objects because there is Automatic garbage collection in java
Java implements several security mechanisms to protect your system against harm caused by stray
programs.
Because java is the architecture neutral , java programs are portable . they can be run any platform
without being recompiled.
Java is an object – oriented language similar to C++. Java source code files (files with a.java extension)
are complied into a format called bytecode (files with a. class extension), which can then be executed by
a Java interpreter.

8. Robust simply means strong . java uses strong memory management. they are lack of pointers. That avoid
security problem . their is automatic garbage collection in java.
There is exception handling and type checking mechanism in java. All these points makes the java robust.
A thread is like a separate program, executing concurrently, we can write java program that deals with at
once by defining multiple –threads . The main advantage of multi – threading is that it’s share the same
memory. threads are important of multi –media, web applications etc.

2.With a java virtual machine (JVM) you can write one program that will run on any platform.
Java’s Performance because java is architecture neutral, java programs are portable. They can be run on any
platform without being recompiled.

9. We can create distributed applications in java. we are used for creating distributed
applications. We may access files by calling the methods from any machine on the internet
Java was designed to adapt to an evolving environment . New code can be loaded on the fly
without recompilation . there is no need to create for developers to create and for users to
install , major new software versions.
A platform is the hardware or software environment in which a program runs.
There are two types of platforms software-based and hardware-based. Java provides software-
based platform. The Java platform differs from most other platforms in the sense that it's a
software-based platform that runs on top of other hardware-based platforms . It has two
components:
1) Runtime Environment
2) API(Application Programming Interface)

functions that manipulate the data.
Inheritance is a process of deriving a new class from the existing
class without modifying it . the new class is called the derived class
or subclass or child class and the existing class is called the base
class or superclass or parent class.
The word Polymorphism is derived from two Greek words Poly
which means many and morphos which mean forms. So ,
Polymorphism means the ability to take many forms.

11. Method Overriding says that a subclass can redefine the behavior of an superclass method but the rule of that while
