NM’s definition
Social Enterprises are revenue-generating,
economically viable enterprises that are able to
deliver against financial as well as quantifiable
social and/or environmental performance
targets, i.e. have a double or triple bottom line.
In our definition, this includes both non-profits
that utilize business models to pursue their
mission and for-profits whose primary purposes
are social.
