1. PACK 94: Your Scout Needs YOU!
DUTIES OF THE ADVANCEMENT CHAIRPERSON:
• Help the Cubmaster and Committee plan and arrange for outings and activities.
• Coordinate any necessary registration with the operators of destination facilities.
• Coordinate the sign-up and payments of participating Pack families for all activities as
needed.
• Keep abreast of Council and District outings and communicate these opportunities to
the Pack.
• Keep abreast of Cub Scout-Friendly Community events and communicate these
opportunities to the Pack.
• Locate and research new destinations and activity opportunities.
• Help arrange for appropriate outing equipment, as needed.
• Plan outings to help Packs and Dens qualify for the National Summertime Pack Award
• Other responsibilities as defined by the Committee
Estimated Time Requirements:
• 8hrs (May-Jun)- Research, phone calls and e-mails to support next year's program
• 1hr/month (Sep-May) - Sign-ups & payments at Pack Nights
• 3hrs (twice per year) - Coordination with overnight venues
• 1hr/month (Aug-May) - Committee Meeting Reports (attendance not necessarily
required)
Suggestions:
• Comfortable with e-mail and phone calls.
• Can keep track of dates and lists
NOTE: A uniform is NOT required for this position.
