Data mining , knowledge discovery is the process of analyzing data from different perspectives and summarizing it into useful information - information that can be used to increase revenue, cuts costs, or both. Data mining software is one of a number of analytical tools for analyzing data. It allows users to analyze data from many different dimensions or angles, categorize it, and summarize the relationships identified. Technically, data mining is the process of finding correlations or patterns among dozens of fields in large relational databases. The goal of clustering is to determine the intrinsic grouping in a set of unlabeled data. But how to decide what constitutes a good clustering? It can be shown that there is no absolute “best” criterion which would be independent of the final aim of the clustering. Consequently, it is the user which must supply this criterion, in such a way that the result of the clustering will suit their needs. For instance, we could be interested in finding representatives for homogeneous groups (data reduction), in finding “natural clusters” and describe their unknown properties (“natural” data types), in finding useful and suitable groupings (“useful” data classes) or in finding unusual data objects (outlier detection).Of late, clustering techniques have been applied in the areas which involve browsing the gathered data or in categorizing the outcome provided by the search engines for the reply to the query raised by the users. In this paper, we are providing a comprehensive survey over the document clustering.

Waste is actually the biggest feed stock available for processing, to produce useful and usable products. The increasing amount of waste is a characteristic of the modern human, though this discloses a more luxury life it presents an environmental hazard that cannot be ignored. Following this understanding we decided to impact on method of utilizing waste and converting it into useful and usable products as well as reducing the nuisance of waste. The methodology followed comes in steps; first a random trial to detect the use of unsorted waste and evaluating the equipment design, secondly improvement of blending of different components of waste, thirdly improvement of facilities for uniformity of heat and pressure, finally arriving at suitable formula regarding the ratio of the different waste components to give uniformity and better hold of the product.

The protection of multimedia data is becoming very important. The protection of this multimedia data can be done with encryption or data hiding algorithms. To decrease transmissions time the data transmission necessary. Recently, more and more attention is paid to reversible data hiding (RDH) in encrypted image. It maintains original area could be perfectly restored after extraction of the hidden message. In previous method embed data by reversibly vacating area from the encrypted images, which may be subject to some errors on data extraction and/or image restoration. A novel method by reserving area before encryption with a traditional RDH algorithm, and thus it is easy for the data hider to reversibly embed data in the encrypted image. The proposed method can achieve real reversibility, that is data extraction and image recovery are free of any error. The hidden data can be retrieved as and when required. The methods that are used in reversible data hiding techniques like Lossless embedding and encryption. This deals with the image steganography as well as with the different security issues, general overview of cryptography approaches and about the different steganography algorithms like Least Significant Bit (LSB) algorithm , JSteg, F5 algorithms. It also compares those algorithms in means of speed, accuracy and security.

Baylis-Hillman reaction has been achieved on different organic motifs but with completion times of three to six days. Micellar medium of CTAB in water along with the organic base DABCO has been used to effect the BaylisHillman reaction on a steroidal nucleus of Withaferin-A for the first time with different aromatic aldehydes within a day to synthesize a library of BH adducts (W1a –W14a) and (W1bW14b) as a mixture of two isomers and W15 as a single compound. The isomers were separated on column and the major components were chosen for bio-evaluation. Cytotoxic activity of the synthesized compounds was screened against a panel of four cancer cell lines Lung A-549, Breast MCF-7, Colon HCT-116 and Leukemia THP-1 along with 5-florouracil and Mitomycin-C as references. All the compounds exhibited promising activity against screened cell lines and were found to possess enhaunced activity than parent compound. BH adducts with aromatic systems having methoxy and nitro groups were found to be more active.

Background: Septoplasty is one of the commonest nasal surgeries performed by otolaryngologist. Silicone is the most common material used for nasal splints. Trans-septal suturing technique has been described to approximate the mucosal flaps after septal procedures to reduce the complication rate; however there are few studies proving the efficacy. Objective: This study is to elucidate the efficacy of trans-septal suture method in preventing complications, discomfort and pain in comparison with intranasal splinting using silicone plates after septoplasty. Patients and methods: This is a prospective study of 59 adult patients underwent Septoplasty, between August 2013-January 2014 in Rizgary Teaching Hospital - Erbil city. Patients were divided into 2 groups; trans-septal suture and silicone, 29 and 30 patients respectively. Visual analogue scale was used to evaluate postoperative pain, bleeding, post-nasal drip, dysphagia and sleep disturbance for three days. Epiphora and septal hematoma are also evaluated. Septal perforation, crustation, and adhesion were evaluated at 4th postoperative week. Results: The severity of pain and post nasal drip were significantly lower in trans-septal suture group than silicone group (P< 0.05). The septal hematoma and septal perforation were not seen in the study. No any significant difference found concerning epiphora, crustation and adhesion. In this paper, to discover out denoised image the modified denoising technique and the local adaptive wavelet image denoising technique can be obtained. The input (noisy image) is denoised with the help of modified denoising technique which is form on wavelet domain as well as spatial domain along with the local adaptive wavelet image denoising technique which is form on wavelet domain. In this paper, I have appraised and analyzed achievements of modified denoising technique and the local adaptive wavelet image denoising technique. The above procedures are contemplated with other based on PSNR between input image and noisy image and SNR between input image and denoised image. Simulation and experimental outgrowth for an image reflects as the mean square error of the local adaptive wavelet image denoising procedure is less efficient as compare to modified denoising procedure including the signal to noise ratio of the local adaptive wavelet image denoising technique is effective than other approach. Professor Ian Hodge's seminar for the CCRI on 24th October 2022. There are two emergent movements in the governance of rural land: voluntary and local government initiatives that assess, plan and enhance landscape and biodiversity and a largely separate central government initiative for the development of Environmental Land Management (ELM) schemes as a key element of national agricultural policy. This is developed and implemented by central government with a relatively large budget. These two movements should be better integrated through the development of a system of Local Environmental Governance Organisations (LEGOs). A LEGO would stand as a ‘trustee’ with a remit to protect and enhance the quality of the local environment in the long term. It can assemble evidence on natural capital, co-ordinate amongst stakeholders and work with them to identify local priorities for nature recovery. It would search for synergies and collaborative partnerships and raise funds to support priority projects. A key point is that a proportion of central government funding should be devolved to LEGOs. This would link the vision being developed locally with the capacity to generate financial incentives for land managers to change land management. Natural Cambridgeshire as the Local Nature Partnership is developing a number of the attributes of a LEGO. It is engaging with and appears to have support from a broad variety of stakeholders and is energising actions at several different levels. Through a local deliberative process, it can have a much clearer view of local opportunities and priorities than can be possible via central government. Natural Cambridgeshire has begun to raise funds but the likelihood is that this is will be too little, relatively short term and unsystematic. Longer term core funding would give Natural Cambridgeshire the capacity to back up proposals with financial support, potentially matching funding from other sources. It would then need to monitor and audit the implementation of projects and report on expenditure and outcomes. Over time it would adopt an adaptive approach to respond to outcomes and changing threats and opportunities. National government needs to establish a framework for the development and operation of a system of LEGOs. It would continue to act in support of national standards, both through regulation and investment to meet international commitments, such as for biodiversity and climate change.

Margaret Thompson has worked at the National Library of Australia since 2005 as part time Assistant to the Community Heritage Grants program, assisting the Coordinator in the administration of the program. Prior to that she has had a career as a Librarian, both at the NLA and various government, special and public libraries in Canberra and interstate. Community Heritage Grants The Community Heritage Grants program is a federally funded annual program, administered by the National Library of Australia, which provides grants of up to $15,000 to assist in the preservation of Australian cultural heritage collections of national significance. Not-for-profit community organisations, such as historical societies, regional museums, galleries and Indigenous and migrant groups, are eligible to apply. Applications for 2017 have now closed, but will re-open again next year in March 2018. This presentation will provide further information for potential applicants on the wide range of eligible projects, tips on preparing your application, and how to navigate the online application process.

Today, I had the opportunity to review Professor Sylvester Monye's latest book, "The Concession of Asaba International Airport: Balancing Politics and Policy Execution.” The review was attended by former President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, GGFR, Governor Sheriff F. Oborevwori of Delta State, former Senate President, H.E Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki CON, former SGF Boss Mustapha, CFR, and former President Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, GCFR, who chaired the event. The book offers a master class in policy management in a complex political environment and sheds light on the challenges and intricacies involved in such a monumental project. It was a privilege to gain insight into the experiences and perspectives shared in the book, and I believe it offers valuable lessons for future policymakers and governments undertaking similar endeavours. Congratulations to Professor Monye on this insightful and thought-provoking work.

User research literature widely assumes that researchers should build empathy for their users, and that this will enable companies to design better experiences. Businesses point to UX research as the empathy in their company ethos. But when we talk about empathy in a business context, what do we really mean? Is it reasonable to expect researchers to empathize with every person they interview? Is it even productive? In this presentation, I will discuss why empathy is not what drives business and makes researchers good advocates for our users. We will first look at the literal and theoretical definitions of empathy in user experience research, then draw from that definition what businesses are ultimately in search of—rightly or wrongly—when they bring UX research into the process. We will talk about how it may not only be impossible to achieve true empathy, but also that “being empathetic” may not make researchers better advocates for the user. I will argue that we should reframe our goal as compassion, an action-driven, thoughtful, and achievable north star that leverages core researcher talents and better communicates user needs.
