9. Wildlife photography
Wildlife photography is a genre of photography concerned with
documenting various forms of wildlife in their natural habitat.
As well as requiring photography skills, wildlife photographers may
need field craft skills. For example, some animals and birds are difficult
to approach and thus a knowledge of the animal's and birds behavior is
needed in order to be able to predict its actions. Photographing some
species may require stalking skills or the use of a hide/blind for
concealment.
While wildlife photographs can be taken using basic equipment,
successful photography of some types of wildlife requires specialist
equipment, such as macro lenses for insects, long focal length lenses
for birds and underwater cameras for marine life. However, a great
wildlife photograph can also be the result of being in the right place at
the right time[1] and often involves a good understanding of animal
behavior in order to anticipate interesting situations to capture in
photography.

12. Landscape photography
Landscape photography shows spaces within the world, sometimes
vast and unending, but other times microscopic. Landscape
photographs typically capture the presence of nature but can also
focus on man-made features or disturbances of landscapes.
Landscape photography is done for a variety of reasons. Perhaps
the most common is to recall a personal observation or experience
while in the outdoors, especially when traveling. Others pursue it
particularly as an outdoor lifestyle, to be involved with nature and
the elements, some as an escape from the artificial world.
Many landscape photographs show little or no human activity and
are created in the pursuit of a pure, unsullied depiction of nature,
devoid of human influence—instead of featuring subjects such as
strongly defined landforms, weather, and ambient light. As with
most forms of art, the definition of a landscape photograph is
broad and may include rural or urban settings, industrial areas, or
nature photography.

15. Sports photography
sports photography refers to the genre of photography
that covers all types of sports.
In the majority of cases, professional sports photography
is a branch of photojournalism, while amateur sports
photography, such as photos of children playing
association football, is a branch of vernacular
photography.
The main application of professional sports photography
is for editorial purposes; dedicated sports photographers
usually work for newspapers, major wire agencies, or
dedicated sports magazines. However, sports photography
is also used for advertising purposes both to build a brand
and as well as to promote a sport in a way that cannot be
accomplished by editorial means.

18. Portrait photography
Portrait photography, or portraiture, is a type of
photography aimed toward capturing the
personality of a person or group of people by using
effective lighting, backdrops, and poses. A portrait
photograph may be artistic or clinical. Frequently,
portraits are commissioned for special occasions,
such as weddings, school events, or commercial
purposes. Portraits can serve many purposes,
ranging from usage on a personal website to
display in the lobby of a business.

21. News photography
News photography is generally known as photo journalism.
Photojournalism is a particular form of journalism (the
collecting, editing, and presenting of news material for
publication or broadcast) that employs images to tell a news
story. It is now usually understood to refer only to still images,
but in some cases, the term also refers to video used in
broadcast journalism. Photojournalism is distinguished from
other close branches of photography (e.g., documentary
photography, social documentary photography, street
photography, or celebrity photography) by complying with a
rigid ethical framework that demands that the work be both
honest and impartial whilst telling the story in strictly
journalistic terms. Photojournalists create pictures that
contribute to the news media and help communities connect.
Photojournalists must be well informed and knowledgeable
about events happening right outside their door. They deliver
news in a creative format that is not only informative but also
entertaining.

24. Candid photography
A candid photograph is a photograph captured without
creating a posed appearance. The candid nature of a
photograph is unrelated to the subject's knowledge
about or consent to the fact that photographs are
being taken, and are unrelated to the subject's
permission for further usage and distribution. The
crucial factor is the actual absence of posing.
However, if the subject is absolutely unaware of being
photographed and does not even expect it, then such
photography is secret photography, which is a special
case of candid photography.
