- 10. A workplace is a place with customers. They are of all sizes and of any sector. There are government offices and other services that you may not even think much about. A workplace can be an informal livelihood like a sari-sari store or a fisherman who has his own boat and sells his fish to a cannery. Workplaces include places run by the government such as schools and utility companies that provide water and electricity. Workplaces are businesses of all sizes, ranging from local businesses to large national and international brands with well-known names. We can learn about workplaces and workplace behaviors in any of these places.
