2. THE MAD –ness behind OUR NAME
As it stands stark raving MAD is what most people react with in hearing our name for the first time.
That’s exactly what we are. We at MAD GREENO know that by touching hearts, fulfilling purpose,
and resonating with ideas that grow into beautiful works of glory for the world to marvel upon is the
MAD-ness we strive for. Like many MAD man before we believe and aspire to live through our
projects by MAKING A DIFFERENCE. The investment, culture and sustainability that we build with
are friendly to our environment, conscience of our surroundings and rewarding to our clients.
As each of us placed in this world has a purpose, our PURPOSE at MAD GREENO is to

SUCCESS STORIES
Before our adventure as MGO – MAD GREENO, our proven track record stems from the multi-million
rand projects with Group Five- Building. Thereafter the industry knowledge gained through site
works facilitated the realisation of our Project Management achievements.

4. Here are a few extracts of our projects at Group Five – Building
Site: KUSILE ESKOM POWER STATION
Designation: Section Manager on the ACC for BRAD JV/ Group Five Civils – sub-contractor to
KCW- Kusile Civil Works.
Main Contractor: Kusile Civil Works Joint Venture
Contract Duration: 2011 - 2012
This is the ACC Section – Air Cooling Condensation Section. As a Section Manager, for the
reinforcing sub-contractor we controlled teams fixing almost 10 – 20 tons of steel a day.
This was an extremely challenging and equally satisfying project. Kusile Power Station is a
major milestone on our construction project path.
Our Shopping Experience
• Woodmead Retail Park
Duration: Jun 2007 – Dec 2007
Duties as a Junior Engineer I was responsible for the News café, Toyota and Nissan
Dealerships at inception. Construction duties include; setting out, ordering materials,
coordinating sub-contractors, programming, managing of labour and plant on site. As well as
Liaising with clients and the professional team.
• Jabulani Shopping Mall
Duration: Jan 2006 – Dec 2006
Duties: Administration duties, construction works, setting out and operations of
construction works, ordering and issuing of all ironmongery on site, access control by
keeping of outlet keys, quality assurance and safety controls implementation.

5. Lessons Learnt Project
University of Johannesburg - Soweto Campus Duration:
December 2009 – May 2010
This was our first project post graduate as an Engineer. All previous lessons learnt from
academic and practical training went into this project and provided a world class learning
facility for students. This project is a mark of excellence on our construction project path.
Project Management for AIMQS
Joining AIMQS was a retrospective career move as all the site experience gained at Group
Five made this transition efficient and effective. Joining a Quantity Surveying company
established in the industry for over 15 years allowed me to secure my knowledge of project
costs and contractual matters. It was an amalgamation of construction works and consultant
works. This proved to be a learning curve with new challenges and allowed a more
professional demeanour to develop. It served as a means to be an accredited Project
Management Professional with the internationally recognised Project Management
Institute.
