2. What is modern agriculture?
Modern agriculture is the advancement in agricultural practices to get more yield
and high profits by growing crops.
For example: Off-season crops, Fruit crops, Flowers etc.

4. Tunnel Farming
Growing summer vegetables in winter under a polythene sheet is known as tunnel
farming. Basically tunnel provides a micro-climate that allow vegetables to grow
in off-season as well.
Tunnel farming is done in three types of tunnels which are as follows;
1. High tunnel
2. Low tunnel
3. Walk-in tunnel

tunnel farming
1. Cucumber
2. Chilies
3. Tomato
4. Bitter gourd

17. Fruit production
Now-a-days Strawberry is the most important and highly profitable fruit crop in
the region because it gives maximum profit in a very short period of time as
compared to other fruit crops.

18. Grapes is also an important crop due to its high nutritional value and high profits
ratio as compared to other crops.

Flowers per plant is 2 kg.
