Blue chip Stock……
Blue chip stocks, also
known as large cap
stocks (because the
companies have a high
market capitalization
of 10 Arab Rupees or
more), tend to rise
and fall in conjunction
with the stock market
in general.
Examples of blue
chip stocks include RIL,
ONGC, Infosys.
4. India Bluechip fund, an open ended
equity scheme aims to generate superior
returns through long term capital appreciation
from a diversified pool of large cap stocks. Its
benchmark is S&P BSE Sensex.
This fund certainly belongs to the mainstream
equity participation products available in the
country. It boasts of a rich survival history of
twenty years in the market. As the name itself
suggests, it has a strong bias for large caps
and it also follows a disciplined diversification
approach.

The majority of investors know blue-chip stocks
have stable earnings. During an economic
downturn, investors may turn to these safe
havens because of their secure nature. Blue-chip
companies offer security during periods of
slowed growth due to their intelligent
management teams and ability to generate
stable profits. If the stock market is experiencing
a bear market, investors don't need to worry
about their investments in blue-chips because,
generally, they recover.
Example : Birla Sunlife provides a good example
with its recovery from the 2007-2008
financial crisis.

12. The best approach we would like to suggest to
Mr. Manav is to:
1) Start with Rs 5 Lakhs lump sum investment in Franklin (I)
Blue chip High Growth fund
2) Start investing an additional Rs 20,000 every month as
SIP so he invest a total of Rs 2.4 Lakhs at the end of the
first year.
3) Increase the amount he save by 15% every year, so the
investment amount changes to Rs 23,000 per month from
the second year, this investment figure keeps on going up
for the rest of the duration.
4) The end result should be the same as starting with a higher
capital amount of Rs 27 Lakhs. Assuming that fund returns
are in the 14-16% range, he should be able to reach his
goal of Rs 1 Crore by the end of 10 years through invest in
Bluechip Funds.

Conclusion
Bluechip fund’s (read mutual fund manager’s) vision for value
that has made it an outperformer each time.
Moreover, Bluechip mutual funds not only offer investment
solutions in practically any market condition, but also, for any
investment time frame, and for any type of investor.
Hence, it would not be wrong to say that, Bluechip mutual funds
have the potential to offer higher-than-market returns at lower-
than-market risk.

money into a lot. Investment is an effort, which should be
successful, to prevent a lot of money from becoming a little.”
