29th Annual BZB Holiday Gift and Art Show
BZB's Dolls on Fleek
1 Day Only
Washington, D.C. - Dolls on Fleek returns back to the Annual BZB Holiday Gift and Art
Show at Shiloh Family Life Center at 1510 9th Street NW, three blocks north of the
Washington Convention Center on December 7, 2019
at 10am.
Gloria Davis is an artist/doll maker who loves to create one of a kind artist dolls. The
dolls are stylized, inspired by antiques and 18th century fashion when women wore
fancy clothing. Doll are either carved from wood or sculpted from clay. The wooden
dolls are painted with soft body acrylic paint then antiqued. On the sculpted paper clay
dolls I use my signature tissue papering technique to add color to the faces, arms and
legs. The clothing is made using vintage cottons, linen, wool, silk or upholstery fabrics.
She uses vintage pieces of clothing whenever possible because recycling old fabric is
symbolic of life. Doll making is a great joy! - http://fabricholicdollmaker.blogspot.com/
