2. Adjectives are words we use to describe people and things.
In Spanish, adjectives have to agree in number and gender with the nouns
they describe.
If an adjective ends in –o, you change it to –a for feminine.
If an adjective ends in –e, you don’t change it for feminine.
To make the adjective plural, add –s if it ends in a vowel
add- es if it ends in a consonant
Examples: La chaqueta es negra. = The jacket is black.
Los tenis son azules. =The tennis shoes are blue.
3. Adjective placement is different in Spanish.
In Spanish, the adjective comes AFTER the noun.
Example: Un vestido blanco = a white dress
Una bolsa cara = an expensive purse.
