1. AO2: Focus
Photograph 1:
!
- The photo was shot with a Cannon 1.4f 50mm
lens.
!
- The 50mm has no zoom so you have to work
out the right distance between you and the
subject.
!
- The 50mm goes down to a 1.4f aperture which
means the lens opens up more to let more light
in, this will keep the subject in focus whilst the
background blurs out.
!
- The shutter speed is adjusted to whatever the
aperture, too short and the photo wont get any
light but too long and the photo will have too
much light.
!
- Photo is shot with manual focus, it makes it
easier to do it yourself as sometimes the camera
doesn’t know what to focus on.
!

Photograph 2:
!
- The photo was also shot with a Cannon 1.4f
50mm lens.
!
- The photo was taken further away from
photograph 1 so the detail isn’t as clear.
!
- The aperture is spot on, the subject is in focus
and the background is blurred as it should be.
!
- The shutter speed on the other hand was a bit
too long, the sky is just too light for a overcast
day.
!
- This photograph again was shot with a manual
focus.
!
- All photographs are taken with manual
exposure adjustment.
