2. Introduction
Test Automation in the Software Eng. context is
the automatic testing of the various cases or
scenarios through which a software has to pass in
order to be successfully developed and be better
in quality.
Quality of a software product needs to be up to
the mark and reliable.
Test cases are executed automatically by a
software and the results are show to the tester so
that if there are loose ends they must be fixed.
Fast and Reliable than manual testing.
Less number of errors and more bug fixes.
3. Trends
The latest trend in Software Testing is the
Model-based testing where a model is
used to represent testing strategies.
Model driven testing where the test cases
created are called abstract test suite,
which interact with the System Under
Test(SUT), but not directly.
It is a form of black-box testing.

Trends
Automation testing is far better than
manual testing but it can be improved to
much more extent.
In the next five years, I see fast and
efficient testing tools and a less need of
manual testing.
Testing tools with new protocols, faster
testing and automatic error or fault
recovery.
5. Interest Areas
Code driven Testing is a cost effective
and reliable technique when it comes to
automation testing.
Test cases are proposed even before the
coding is started and also during the
code development.
The consistent testing of the code helps in
fixing a lot of errors and bugs, rather than
manually testing when the coding part is
complete leading to more and more
errors and defects.

Interest Areas
Internship in Software Automation
Testing(Code-driven testing), I would like
to learn about testing more logical and
complex software.
I would like to get more experience from
the experts and apply it in the real time
scenario.
Test real software and improve the
automation testing techniques.
